Chapter ThirteenPete and Josh had almost reached the edge of the forest when they heard the sound of a helicopter flying above them. Despite the thick branches of the trees, they were able to make out the markings of the military. Obviously the soldier hadn't wasted any time in alerting his HQ. From now on they would need to be very careful.
Once they were clear of the forest, they found two roads lying in front of them. Pete pulled up and they looked around. They saw no sign of the helicopter so at least they were safe for the moment.
“Which road do you think Sarah and the policeman took?”
Both men looked from one road to the other.
Finally Josh pointed towards the road on the right. “If it had been me, I think I'd have taken that one. I know it's narrow and winding, but it stays well
