Daemon POV
I feel a sharp pain in my thigh. I look down and see my mates beautiful hands smashing a syringe into my leg. Suddenly my body feels weak. My beast does everything in his power to keep us conscious and standing.
' I love you Daemon, and I am sorry. I can't let our pack members and family be killed ' Amethyst links me.
No.... I try to link.
She Can't do this. She promised she would stay safe and stay beside me. How could she do this. My beast is so angry . I am sure my eyes are red. I can hear the filthy vampire talking to her.
I can't believe she got me with a tranquilizer dart. I am sitting on the ground no longer able to stand as my strength has failed me.
'Our little mate is in so much trouble' My beast says.
I couldn't agree more.
" Release her NOW you disgusting blood sucker!" I hear Amethyst order.
" You are in no position to bark orders at me. " Cassius spits back.
I hear rapid succession gun shots and some gasping. I need to be able to move before the worst happens.
" That wasn't very smart you will be coming with me" I hear Cassius growl at her.
Then I hear some rustling and then the sounds of silence filling the air.
I finally am able to start to move and I see all the vampire in the court yard are gone ,along with Amethyst.
" D**n it! " I groan.
" Amethyst !!!! " I growl.
The sound filing the air , shaking the caverns, and rattling the buildings. I slam my fist into the wall , splitting open my knuckles. No doubt the pack feels my discomfort and aggression.
Now that I have full movement back I jump down to the courtyard seeing if I can find any clues. I smell her scent going back into to the building that Cassius emerged from. Once I get to the door I loose her sent .
I spend a while searching for her sent again but unfortunately I can't find her scent anywhere. How could this happen. Everything was going so good. We were going to be married soon. She is my everything.
Mate, Our mate. I want her back now.
'I know but I have lost her scent'
Our mate, Amethyst is strong. Chosen by the Goddess we need to do out part to bring her home. Your no Alpha. Acting like she is lost.
'I AM THE ALPHA KING . I will bring her home'
We.... then you better start acting like it or I will take her from you.
'Oh shut it. '
I push my beast back in my head to quiet him so I can think.
' Nick...fill me in'
' Bella and the girls are back here. What is going on. '
' I will fill you in a few get to the pack house and call all of our covert warriors and all report to my office immediately.
' Alpha' Then Nick cuts the connection.
Amethyst POV
Ugh. I groan my head hurting very bad. I open my eyes. I can see a nasty cell that I am caged in. Probably 10 by 10 with nothing else in sight. I know a vampire is around me as I can smell it's disgusting scent.
My hands are bound behind my back. My gun is gone and so is everything else off my waist. I can still feel my blade in my boot. I need to get some privacy so I can escape .
' Daemon'
I attempt to link.
Nothing......
I focus all my energy, channeling every once of strength I have into projecting my consciousness as far as I can.
' Daemon'
' Amethyst ... Baby where are you? '
' Daemon I am sorry. '
' We will talk about it once your home and safe. Where are you?'
' I am not sure yet but I think I can escape. There is a tracker in my boot. I have to go someone is coming. ' I cut the connection.
" Hello little Ms. Sorceress" I hear Cassius's disgusting voice snarling at me.
" I am done here if you'd kindly let me go now."
He chuckles in a disgusting manner that makes me feel like I want to vomit.
" Oh my dear , you are not going anywhere. You see it has been told that only true kings have a sorceress at their side. Therefore you are destined to be my mate and bear my heirs."
At that moment I start hysterically laughing.
" Are you kidding me..... You think I will come near you let alone sleep with you. The only way I will come near you willfully is to watch you become ash right before my eyes. "
He walks up to me raising his hand and back handing me across the face. as a fly backward into the wall the back of my head and back strikes the wall filling my body with pain.
I have to endure. I need to get free and go home to Daemon. I bury my rage and pretend to fall unconscious as I lay on the floor.
" She should keep quiet for a little while'
Cassius states then walks out.
I stay there for a few more minutes focusing on Daemon.
His eyes,
his kiss,
the way he caresses my body. How he makes me feel as I am the only woman in the world.
Daemon POV
After I get the link from Amethyst I feel more energized. I run up to her office and log into her computer. Thankfully she showed me how to do the trackers yesterday. I pull up the data map and I see a purple dot blinking.
Then I feel my face burn like I was slapped. shortly after the back of my head and back are hurting so bad. Cassius must be hurting Amethyst. D**n Vampires. I will destroy him for even looking at my mate. I will dance in his ashes.
Once I can focus through the pain. I go back to tracking her location. It looks like she is somewhere in the middle of Harriman State park.
'Nick Harriman Park, Let us go'
' Yes Alpha I will get everyone in the transport. '
' Once we get into the park everyone is to shift immediately once the threat of exposure has passed. Bring a couple witches.'
'Yes Alpha King !'
Everyone is angry and ready to get their Luna back .
