Chapter 13

Daemon POV

" Daemon wake up or I am going to leave without you "  Amethyst says.

Waking up to her is my favorite. I wrap my arms around her then roll on top of her before smashing my lips against her.  

She wiggles and giggles below me." Daemon stop we need to go to the pack house and find out what they were able to get out of the vampire"

" Yeah , yeah" I smirk and get up. 

I grab her small hand and pull her into the bathroom feeling the ring on her finger. I still can't believe she said yes to be my wife. I love this woman so deeply. After a shower we get dressed, and eat a  bite of breakfast that had been dropped off while we were in the shower.  She comes out of the closet in black jeans, heeled boots , a grey long sleeve Pantera shirt with a leather jacket. I watch her run her fingers through her hair combing it out and pulling it into a pony tail with it falling down her back. She reaches into her bag grabbing something then swiping on a bit of mascara. Then she looks at me in the mirror.

 Her violet eyes sparkle with mischief " Are you just  going to stand there watching me."

" Yes, its your fault for being so beautiful" I give her a devilish grim.

" Come on, Big bad Alpha King, the pack will be waiting for us" She says with sarcasm.

Laughing I grab her hand as we leave. The car ride over is quiet as she seems engrossed in checking Our security back home. " Nothing out of the normal " she says absent mindedly. Well that's good  no my cyber attack attempts while we have been gone. 

" I checked in with Nick this morning and he says everything has been good. " I tell her.

" Yeah , Bella said she hasn't sensed any magical disturbances" She says chewing on her lip thinking. 

" What is it My Queen"

" I just think it's the calm before the storm. It frustrates me that I still can't find any concrete evidence of what they are up too"

" Once there is something to find, I have no doubt that you will find it" 

She smiles " We need to deal with your council target tonight before we leave tomorrow"

" Yeah I had planned on it " I hand her my tablet with the information on it. She goes back to reading. We pull into the driveway of the pack house .

" Alpha . Luna. We are here." The driver says. I get out of the car then extend my hand to grab Amethysts hand helping her out of the car. We walk to the front door.  Where the alpha that runs this pack for me is standing. Axel is a large man. Russian native with brown hair and brown eyes. He runs a very tough and loyal pack. 

" Alpha  Axel, Its been to long " I  say.

He bows" Alpha King Daemon, Its a great pleasure to have to come see us with your Luna Queen. Shall we go inside and I will have me beta fill you in on what we have been able to get out of the vampire."

" Yes, thank you Alpha Axel" 

We walk into the meeting room. Axel directs me to to meeting room .

" Alpha King , please take my chair at the head of the table" Axel says.

" Please this is your home, I am fine " I tell him. They are always so loyal when I come to visit. I sit in a chair pulling Amethyst into my lap .

Amethyst POV

This is my first time being at a pack meeting. The Alpha Axel informs us how the vampire divulged that they are gonna create a world war to be able to place themselves in control of the world and they call it the New World Order. After that they went on about European pack details so I just started picking apart the vampires plan in my mind.

After what feels like hours sitting on Daemons lap the meeting is finally over. I used to think sitting on his lap was weird and it made me feel like a child. However,  when Daemon and I first mated Bella explained to me that its very common,  because it helps keep dominate male wolves calm. 

Axel and his Luna Scarlet are so nice. Scarlet is a beautiful 5'8" blonde with almost grey eyes.  They offer us dinner which Daemon declines. I am sure it's because he still needs to deal with the target and we need to get back home. 

" Alpha Axel and Luna Scarlet it was so wonderful to meet you both" I say bowing my head. 

" You as well Luna Queen Amethyst" they both say.

Daemon nodes and Axel and Scarlet say their goodbyes to him as well. He takes my hand and walks me to the car. Opening the door he lets me get in then follows suit.  I lay my head on Daemons chest and he wraps his arms around me. My eyes feel heavy as I fall asleep . 

" Amethyst...We are back to the hotel" He whispers and I feel him kiss my forehead. 

We both get out and walk up stairs. " Do you want some dinner Daemon before we go out?" I ask him.

" No I would rather go out on our date and eat afterwards " He says winking.  I laugh at him very well.

We both get equipped and dressed to get deal with this rogue. We leave the hotel and start making our way towards the target.

 The target is a Rogue named Claud Vorsky he has been r****g women and killing people and has drawn to much attention to himself as apparently a detective from Moscow's police  Department say him shift into a wolf. I had tracked him to an abandoned building where he has been hiding between attacks.

We make it outside the abandoned building. ' I sense him on the top floor ' Daemon says through mind link.

'Come here baby ' 

I step forward. He wraps his arms around me and jumps. With in a blink of an eye we are on a ledge on the top floor.  I swing silently through the window and duck down behind some cabinets.

'That never gets old. Your so hot when you sneak around. It makes me want to take you now' daemon looking at me with a wicked glint in his eyes. 

' Easy lover boy we have a job to do ... Focus ' I reprimand him.

Daemon jumps through the window in a blink but then a giant black wolf with yellow eyes jumps on him attacking him. Daemon kicks him off smashing the wolf through a wall and punching him. I run after them. But then I notice Daemon get bit on the shoulder. I draw my .45 with silver bullets  shooting the rogue three times in the chest and he slumps down on Daemon.  

Daemon shoves the wolf off him, stands up and dusts himself off.  Then he grabs the wolfs head and body and separates the two, blood praying everywhere. 

 I walk up to Daemon "How's your shoulder?" 

" I will heal in  a little bit"   he answers.

" Do you need blood to heal ?" I ask him.

" No I am fine Amethyst."

" Don't lie.. I can sense when you lie. " I unzip the front of my jack puling a knife from my waist and make a small cut above my breast on my chest. Daemons eyes flash red then dark and he stalks over, places his lips to my chest then bites, wrapping his arms around me , holding me against him.  After a few seconds of drinking  he licks it closed healing my chest and zips my jacket back up.

" Thank you My Queen I owe you twice tonight. I would have healed but It would have taken a few hours . How did you know blood also heals me?"

" I asked Nick to tell me the truth about your hybrid nature so I knew how to help you if something happened. He told me sometimes he healing is diminished because you don't feed on human blood so that keeps your Vampire genes lower and makes you rely more on your wolf genes. " 

" Well Thank you but don't get in the habit of it. I never want to weaken your body either . " 

I step forward and run my fingers through his hair" Daemon I will be fine. We are a team you need to learn to trust me to help you just as I trust you to help me. "

"Very well " he says kissing me  with such love. " By the way, what where those bullets? I have never seen a rabid rogue go down like a ton of bricks like that."

I smile " You like those ? They are my own creation. When I pressed the silver bullets I hard pack wolfs bane in the hollow point. "

" You are scary creative " He laughs throwing his arm over my shoulder. " Remind me never to p*ss you off"

I laugh at Daemon " You scared of little ol' 120 lb me?" looking as innocent as can be.

He wraps his arms around me and kisses my lips whispering. " Absolutely terrifying my love " 

 He calls the council's clean up crew and lets them know where the body is .We walk out of the building and start making our way back towards our hotel.  He wraps me in his arms and jumps up to our balcony. We figure its best not to be seen as we are both covered in dried blood. 

I call and order us some dinner from room service as Daemon starts a shower for us. I laugh to myself. I could get used to this.
