Big News

Midnight’s POV After breakfast I called a meeting with all of my eldest children. I sat on the sofa of my office with Shawn and Andrei by my sides. Boston, Connor, and Drake are sitting across from us and Elijah, Fredrick, and Greyson are standing behind them. “What’s going on mom?” Connor asks. “We didn’t get a chance to talk to you about this yesterday with the palace being so busy with the barbeque. Boys, we have some big news. I want you to be understanding and open minded. Listen to us completely, please,” I say. “How bad is it?” Drake asks. “It’s not a bad thing. It’s a good thing,” Shawn says. “A very good thing,” Andrei says. Boston is sitting with a very stoic expression on his face. “Bos, you ok?” I ask. “You found another mate, haven't you. You’re replacing my mom?” Boston asks. “No one will ever replace your mom honey,” I tell him. “Well I won’t accept anyone else,” he says. “We asked you to listen before passing judgments,” Shawn says. “When I met with Selene on the astral plane she told me something that was quite shocking. Do you remember how Aro sacrificed her life to banish Cole?” I ask. They all nod. “You’ve told us this story. Their mom’s soul was linked to his so the only way to kill him would also kill Aroha,” Elijah says. “That’s right. Aroha was taken before her time. The Moon Goddess knew we would need her in the future so she gave Aroha a choice. She could move on and be at peace or she could be reborn and come back as another. Aroha agreed to come back without question. She wanted to come back to us. Only when Selene brought her back she is not the same Aro we knew. She didn’t come back as a witch,” I say. “What did she come back as? Where is our mom? If she’s been here this whole time why hasn’t she come looking for us?” Connor asks. “She is in the fairy realm. As you know we only recently formed an alliance with King Asher for fairies to be able to choose which realm they wish to live,” I say. “Ok but that happened years ago. Why didn’t she come then?” Greyson asked. “Because she’s the next Alpha to a thunder of dragons over there. King Asher told me of a war between rivaling dragon thunders and being next in line he had to be there,” I said. “Wait did you say he?” Drake asks. “That’s the other thing. When Selene brought Aro back she had a special request,” I say. “What was it?” Boston asks. “Well. She asked Selene to bring her back as a male,” I say. “What?” “Why?” Boston and Connor ask. “I can tell you but your dads aren’t going to like it,” I say. “Don’t tell them,” Frederick says. ‘Do NOT tell them. Let them find out on their own. I mean obviously you know that we can’t keep our hands off each other considering how many of you there are. Well Aroha asked to come back as a male so she could have a bigger d**k than your fathers.’ 3-2-1 My sons all burst out into laughter. They were rolling on the floor laughing and crying. I swear one of them peed a little. “That is the best thing I’ve ever heard,” Frederick says. “What?” Andrei asks. They all shake their heads no. “There are ways to make you talk,” Shawn says. “Sorry honey. My command is stronger than yours,” I tell him. “So our mom is now a dude and he’s an Alpha dragon?” Boston asks. “What’s his name?” “Alaric,” I reply. “Selene said he has all his memories from when he was Aroha but they’re more like vivid dreams. He doesn’t feel the mate bond because we haven’t met in this life. I will have to go to the fairy realm to find him after I have the babies. If he decides to come back with us someone will have to take over his role. Selene also said that you guys are going to have some more little brothers running around here. Dragons are stronger than most supernaturals so it won’t take all three mates for me to get pregnant. Although knowing your fathers…” I say. “All three of them will knock you up,” Freddie says. “Damn right we will,” Shawn says. “How many more?” Greyson asks. “Dragons always birth multiples,” I say. “How many?” Drake asks. “Five to seven,” I say. “Holy f**k! How are you going to carry five to seven babies when the four in your belly are about to break you in half?” Elijah asks. “Elijah!” Andrei yells. “Sorry dad, but look at her. She’s too damn small to carry seven babies,” Eli says. “I know son, I said the same thing,” Andrei said. “From the research we’ve done. Dragon babies are born small in large batches called a clutch. One clutch can yield five to seven babies. They’ll be small at birth then they will grow significantly bigger than a normal shifter,” I explain to them. “How much quicker?” Boston asks. “By age seven your siblings will have grown to maturity and stop aging. By age nine their dragons will fully mature. They could shift any time during their adolescence and Alaric can begin training them,” I tell them. “What about your powers?” They ask. “Selene said they most likely won’t have a wolf. She’s never given a sup more than one beast. They will have magic and vampire abilities in human form but will differ from us. They will not have an inner vampire or feel blood lust. So all of our strengths and virtually no weaknesses being from a royal bloodline,” I finish. “So bigger and better than us, got it,” Frederick says. “When do we go get him?” Connor asks. “I’d hate to leave the kids so early but we’ll leave in two weeks. I’ve already started pumping so I have plenty of breastmilk stored for them. They’ll stay in Salem with the aunts while we’re gone,” I tell them. “I thought you said we are leaving after you give birth?” Andrei asks. “We are. I’ve been having contractions since I woke up,” I tell them. “How are you so calm if you’re in labor?” Shawn asks. “Because I've done this eight times before and my water hasn’t even broken yet. We’ll head over to the portal. I’m sure the aunts have everything prepared,” I tell them. Drake stands and comes to me, “Come on mama. Let’s get you to the portal.” He takes my hands and helps me stand. Out of all my children we are the closest. He is my little mama’s boy and I love it. His brothers used to make fun of him until he started training and kicking their asses. He holds my arm as we walk out of my office. Just as we’re about to reach my bedroom to get the baby bag my water breaks. “Just f*****g great. They just cleaned these floors and I’ve ruined them,” I say.  I look over at my husbands, “Can you please get the bag seeing as how your son is doing all the work.” “Mama do you want to shower or go straight to the portal,” Drake asks. “Shower please. I won’t be out of bed for a day so I’d like to be fresh,” I say. Drake helps me to the shower, starts it, and leaves me to undress, “Call out if you need anything. I’ll send one of your bozos in.” “Thank you sweetie,” I tell him. “Hey, we heard that,” my husbands say. Drake just shrugs, “We all have a favorite.”
