“I just have the power exchange ceremony and I’ll be good to go,” Alaric says.
“That’s it. You’re Alpha of this horde and it’s that easy for you to leave?” Shawn asks.
“We knew this day would come and we were prepared for it. My only regret is that I couldn’t bring an end to slavery within the hordes. We treat them better than most but the king won't listen to me when I tell him there is a better way,” Alaric says.
“I’ll talk to him,” Midnight says.
“Thank you,” Alaric replies.
“That’s it? You just leave here with your mates and no one bats an eye?” Shawn asks again.
“What is it you’re expecting will happen? I don’t have a crazy ex girlfriend that’s going to try to kill you guys,” Alaric says.
“I’m just sayin,” Shawn says.
