Violet When Luca came to the beach house to pick us up, he hadn’t announced himself. Nor had he offered any warning to his arrival. It was just a normal day. Well, as normal as our days could be considering our circumstances. Cronan and Zech had gone off for a walk with little Ana who was restless, and Talia’s littles were all playing spades around the dining room table while I cleaned up some pots we’d used to make dinner.
