One month.
It took me a month to figure it out.
I had gone in circles, searching day and night, wondering where the hell everything had gone wrong. There was no proof that Violet had been removed from that house.
Every security camera scrubbed.
Every potential hint toward where she’d gone and with who completely erased.
And somehow, in the midst of everything, I began to get this gut feeling that the answer was right in front of me.
Who had the capability to make somebody disappear like this?
With the VAP dismantled, it came down to one of my own.
A King.
But why would they want her unless somebody clued them in to her capabilities.
There was Aurelia the snitch, of course, but she never would have got the message out fast
