Third Person’s POV   “Son of a b***h,” Luca was muttering, watching Xavier feed on a stray bunny that had wondered their way.  He ripped it apart with his mouth, lapping at his lips.  “He’s lucky this will take some time to heal.  I’ll kill that stupid assassin myself—”     “Emelie.”  A rasp, Xavier’s eyes flashing silver.     Emelie.  The boy was a mess, leg barely attached, most of his bones broken, and yet here he was, asking after the girl he wouldn’t even bond with.  “Kai,” Luca echoed back, trying to refocus the fool before him.  Losing his mind over a girl while his best friend was in danger.     “He’ll survive,” Xavier grumbled.  “His mate was here.”     “Mate?”     “A wolf.  Part of the pack that attacked.”     “No s**t,” Luca grumbled, scratching at his head.  He was lyin
