In depths of the ocean unknown to man, there was believed to be a creature that lived in what would only call solitary confinement. Held at a depth most beings could not survive, it was rumored that the talisman at Brentik’s neck was made of one of the creatures’ teeth.
Passed down through the generations, Brentik’s forefathers told a story of how the creature could only reach the surface one time a year when the moon, sun, and Earth fully aligned during a total eclipse. And each time it comes to shore, it loses pieces of itself during the violent, unnatural shift. It’s teeth, for instance, and scales—all of which were proven to hold some of the God’s ancient power used to keep it imprisoned at the bottom of the sea.
