Silver Moon

Alpha Jackson's pack was one of the biggest in the UK, and also one of the strongest. It had 15,000 members living on pack-lands, big enough to look like a small town and not what Talia expected at all. She expected houses to be cramped and run down, but when she saw how spacious it truly was, it took her breath away. Each house in the place she could only describe as the town square, had lawns, gardens and a big patio where there was furniture, grills and families sitting and laughing or playing cards. The pack-lands were over 50,000 acres, and most of it was protected land where wolves could run without fearing humans or rogues would see them. The pack house was huge, to say the least. Three stories tall, and next to the entrance was a huge four-car garage. The house was in white concrete and had a black roof. A huge, double glass door was next to the garage, looking welcoming. The hallway inside had light floors and a stairwell going to the second floor. Jackson gently pushed Talia towards the front door, and he opened it for her. She timidly stepped inside, still fearful of what was to come. She would always remember that strangers aren't kind unless they want anything in return, and she was still wearing nothing but Jackson's jacket. "Here, this is the common room. It's empty now. I will get someone to grab some clothes for you, and then I'll show you to your room." He gestured to her to sit down on the couch, and she blushed. "I..I'm naked under.. Others are going to s..sit here." Her eyes look down again and he sighs. One step forward and three steps back. "You can sit. The couches are cleaned daily." He doesn't push her, but sits down in a recliner next to the couch, close enough to not overwhelm her, far enough away to not scare her. Talia trembles slightly and hesitantly sits down on the grey couch. She sits right on the edge, stiff as a statue, like she's terrified of being punished or something if she's caught. Talia looked at Alpha Jackson, her eyes wide in terror. He studies her face, her eyes and the way her back stiffens with every sound. A door opens nearby, and footsteps make their way to the common room. Talia jumped up from the couch like she had just sat down on a needle, her eyes to the ground, body trembling, tears falling and her mouth mumbling apology after apology. Jackson raises his hands to show her she's in no danger, and slowly moves towards the Omega, who brought clean clothes. "She's expecting to be beaten if she's caught on furniture. I don't know what they did to her, but I will do everything to show her that she will no longer live the way she did." The Omega nods and disappears. Jackson slowly walked over to Talia, clothes still in his hands. "I'm not going to touch you, but you need to follow me. I'm going to show you to your room now." He takes a few steps, and is relieved when he sees her trailing after him. He went back into the hallway and up the staircase. Talia's eyes are fixed on the floor under her, so she doesn't see much of the large pack house. Jackson led her up the second staircase and into a door. The bedroom is huge. It's bright and airy. A large king-sized bed dominates one wall. Dark covers and a light grey headboard are all she sees from her position with her head down. He leads her into another door in the bedroom and into the bathroom. "There's clean towels under the sink, clean clothes for after. New toothbrush, new hairbrush and there is shampoo and conditioner in the shower for you. Take your time, and when you're ready, there is a phone in your room that connects to my office." He turns around and leaves her to shower. Talia doesn't move for a while, just stands there, looking at the shower for what feels like an eternity before she takes the three steps over to it, reaches inside and turns it on. She removed Jackson's jacket and took a shaking step towards the shower when she tensed. She turned around fast, and locked the bathroom door, afraid of the consequences if she gets caught. She walked to the shower, trembling in fear. The glass door stands open on one side, and she steps in. She closed the door behind her and flinched when the warm water hit her body. Talia stood in fear for a little before stepping completely under the spray, sighing as the water started washing her clean. Under her feat, brown water washed into the pipes. She submerged her hair under the warm spray, feeling how dirt was leaving her hair. It took a while for her hair to get clean enough to put shampoo in. She grabs the bottle and opens the cap. It smells like flowers. She poured some in her hand and started lathering it in her hair. She works the soap into her scalp and into all the matted hair before tilting her head back. Shampoo mixed with grey water fell down her back and onto the white tile floor. When she was confident all the shampoo was out, she squirted a little more into her hand and lathered that too in and repeated the first round. When the shampoo was out, she grabbed the bottle with conditioner. It smelled exactly like the shampoo. Talia squirted a fair amount into her hand and worked the conditioner into all the matted hair, to at least give a proper go at getting her tangles brushed out. After the conditioner is washed out, she grabs the last bottle. The one with shower gel. She pours it in her hand and lathers it all over her body, scrunching her nose when the white soap turns grey from all the dirt. She washes off the soap and repeats the process, smiling when the soap is only white. She finishes in the shower and steps out. She carefully walks over to the sink and finds a white, fluffy towel from under the sink. She cringes at the color, but she sees that all the towels are the same color. Sighing, she starts drying her hair. She wraps the towel around her hair like a turbine and grabs another towel and starts drying her skin. Once dry, she wraps the towel around her body and removes the other towel from her hair. She grabs the blow-dryer that hangs on the wall and starts drying her hair. Once dry, she shakingly grabs the hairbrush and begins brushing the hair that isn't caked into the large matts at the back of her head. Section after section of brushed hair hang loose on the side, and when she starts the matts, she hisses as it pulls at her scalp. Talia goes to the shower and grabs the bottle of conditioner. She squirts a good amount in her hair and starts working it into the matts. She washes her hands to get the silky substance out and grabs the hairbrush again, and this time, she feels the matts loosening. She continues brushing and brushing until there isn't a single tangle left in her hair. She goes back into the shower and washes the rest of the conditioner out. When she's finished, she grabs the blow-dryer again and blow-dries her hair. Talia almost cries when she sees her long, black hair, hanging loose on her back, no longer matted. She looks at the sink and cringes when she sees all the hair that's fallen out as she's been brushing, but with how the results went, she doesn't care. She dries her body again and gets dressed. Underwear, socks, a bra (thank god), loose pants and a loose T-shirt. She sighs and unlocks the bathroom door and steps into her new bedroom. She lets her eyes explore this time, and her jaw drops to the floor when she sees the king-size bed at the far end of the wall, night stands next to it, thick, dark curtains on a huge window and another door. She walks over to the door and opens it. Her eyes widen as she takes in the ginormous wardrobe. It's practically the size of the kitchen back in the old pack house. She closes the door and finds the phone Jackson was talking about. There is a note next to the phone: Number 6 is for my personal office. If I don't answer, try number 1. That is my bedroom. Don't be scared to call me, I mean you no harm. I'm just trying to help you. -J Talia grabs the phone with shaking hands and presses button number 6 as well as the green one to call. It beeps three times before she wants to hang up, but then there's a click on the other end, and his velveteen voice comes through the device, and it makes her heart pound.
