“Again,” I start with a sigh, “no.” I fall on my couch, my phone still next to my ear, barely listening to Jordan’s voice. “No Jordan, you are not going to brunch with my friends. Michael and Logan will be there,” I explain again, even though I know he heard me the first ten times. “It would be fun, come on baby girl,” Jordan jokes on the other side of the line. “I’m starting to be late.
