Chapter Thirteen I wake with a feeling of dread burrowing deep within my stomach. There is no gentle awakening, no remaining dreaminess. No, I know straight away: today we’re going to have to fight. And if this goes awry, there may not be another morning for me and my Guardians. For the hundredth time, I am asking myself if we really have to do this. We could just hide out somewhere on Earth, waiting for our mysterious pursuers to give up.
