Chapter Seventeen My body is lifted by one of the guys. I’m pressed against a hard leather breast plate. They are still wearing their armour. It’s hard to tell who is carrying me – they’re all broad and muscly and wear armour. And they all smell of blood right now. But then, does it matter? They’re all my Guardians. I am pressed close against the guy’s chest. There’s an arm under my knees and another wrapped around my back. It’s not uncomfortable, but the swaying without being able to see what’s happening, is making me queasy. What happens if I need to puke? Will I choke on my own vomit, unable to open my mouth?
