Chapter Nineteen The palace is huge. Huge like in massive. Ginormous. It’s basically an entire walled city, but all in one large complex. And it looks like something Tolkien would have dreamed up. Turrets reach high into the sky, looking down on intricate walkways and large courtyards. There are gardens all over the place, but not green and colourful like you’d expect them to be. Instead, they’re shades of blue and white. This is the home of the Winter Queen, after all. Flags are waving in the wind, but I can’t make out what’s on them yet. Maybe it’s because my eyes are teary from the cold. I miss my magic terribly. Inside of me is a big, dark hole where she used to live. The cave, still blocked, is empty and cold.
