  The wind tugged gently at Riana’s hair as Rowan’s convertible hummed along the quiet countryside road, the late afternoon sun stretching gold across the horizon.   He glanced sideways at her, his usually mischievous grin dimmed by the silence that hung between them.   For the past twenty minutes, she had said nothing.
