The streetlight flickered above her, casting long shadows across the pavement and four men stepped out of those shadows as if they had been waiting for her to notice them.
All of them wore black suits. All of them looked wrong in different ways.
Two had the unmistakable stillness of werewolves holding their shifts in check. Broad shoulders, predatory eyes, barely restrained violence vibrating beneath their skin. Intimidating.
