The Alpha's Beta Mate (ON HOLD)

Chapter Five - Garry’s Mate - Part One

(Tom’s Point Of View)

While Jake and I were trying to figure out what to do about our new Beta and Gamma situation, we had decided to let our wolves out so they could be together in their natural forms for a good awhile while we both had a good time to ourselves to think while being in the back of our wolves’ minds.

We were really unsure of what to do, and our parents, as well as Garry’s father and dad could see that so they decided to hold off on giving us our new roles until we knew that the Beta and Gamma roles would both be filled, especially since now the Beta is going to be the second Alpha.They’re even helping us trying to sort out our little problem but they don’t want to over step as they want us to be comfortable with who is chosen for which role. Jake and I both honestly would love it if Garry would be our new Beta, but that still leaves our Gamma role left open.

I am actually supposed to be having a meeting with another pack’s alpha who became Alpha last month, in a few days. Our dads had formed a alliance so we wanted to continue it, in order to do so we need to meet up here and there just like our dads did, heck they still do as they are good friends. I was going to ask if my mate could come along, funny thing is, he beat me to my own question. So he also found his mate on his 18th, we both congratulated each other for our mates and said to definitely bring our mates for support. We arranged it for our first meet up to be in my pack hall, he said that he is also bringing along a few of his warriors and one of his Omegas.

Now, I find that a bit weird to bring a Omega to a meeting, but he said that this Omega is family to him and he needs to keep a real close eye on him for his protection. But that’s all he would say on the phone, said he’ll explain more in person when we meet up. I’m very curious to meet this Alpha and Omega now, I have met his dad before and he is really nice, a really good Alpha just like my dad.

**A few days later**

Jake, Garry and I were waiting at the pack’s hall for the meeting. We asked Garry to be there because we wanted him to be our Beta so we thought this would be a good practice run for him. I noticed that Garry seemed a bit off all morning, but I couldn’t be sure about what so I had just put it down to nerves.

Right on tight as he said he would, the Alpha arrived with his Luna, his few warriors and his Omega, though he was hiding behind his Alpha and Luna, I knew he was there though due to his scent.

He bowed in respect before speaking. “Hello Alpha Tom, my dad has told me a lot about you. My name is Alpha Kyle, this is my mate and Luna Cindy” He was smiling as he spoke. Cindy bowed in respect “Alpha Tom, a pleasure to meet you” she was also smiling as she spoke. They were both very friendly and polite as well as respectful from their actions and vibes. I liked them already, and I could tell Jake did as well. “Alpha Kyle, Luna Cindy. This is my mate and second Alpha Jake” I made sure to give them my best smile as I spoke to show my respect and that I accepted their presence in my pack. They both bowed in respect to Jake and with the same smiles they gave me they told him that they were happy to meet him. I was glad that they of those people who accept who the Moon Goddess gave us as mates and didn’t judge.

“This is Garry, our Beta” Jake was the introduce this time. Garry bowed in respect. “Alpha, Luna” I started to notice his body was tense and it was like he was trying to keep his wolf at bay. But why? I then saw movement behind the mated couple and Luna Cindy trying to see if she could calm the boy down. “This is the Omega I was talking about. I have to keep him close to me until he finds his mate. He will be able to protect him when I can’t. He’s not in our pack, nor was he in my mate’s former pack, so I am hoping that he is in yours”

Oh, now this is starting to make some sense in a way. “You said that he was family?” Alpha Kyle nods “Yes, he is. He is my little brother” Jake, Garry and I were in shock, how could a Alpha have a Omega son?? It was not heard of before, unless it was super rare and something happened during pregnancy or birth. Alpha Kyle saw our shocked expressions and sighs before he started to explain “None of us knows why or how. But he turned out as a Omega. That didn’t stop the pack or my parents or myself from loving him and treating him with the respect and care and love that a Alpha’s pup would get.” Hearing that was heart warming, this kid was really lucky, really lucky indeed.

“He is our pack’s treasure. Everyone loves him, a lot of unmated wolves even wished and hoped to be his mate. If they weren’t, then they wished and hoped that he would find his mate in another loving pack like ours. Because he is a Omega, his wolf is a little bit weak. He can sniff out scents, but he can’t shift due to his wolf being too weak to be able to”

That was true, Omegas couldn’t shift into their wolf forms. Some didn’t even have a wolf in extremely rare cases. But they could still smell, just their sense of smell wasn’t as strong as a normal werewolf. They also couldn’t run as fast nor were they as strong or healed as fast. They still healed a bit faster than humans though, but not as fast as a normal werewolf. Omegas were basically humans were a weak wolf in their head and a bit better senses and faster healing really. My pack always help out our Omegas as we can only image how tough it is for them, they are also the only type of werewolf that can actually get sick. Their bodies can’t control their body temperature so well either.

In our pack, Omegas are treated just like any other werewolf, but just with more care as they are a lot more sensitive. And no member in our pack disagrees with how our Omegas get treated, well, one member actually does. Can you guess who? Yep; Nicole. For some reason she absolutely hates Omegas and wants them to treated like slaves like in most packs because it’s “proper” and “natural”, like what the f***? Not in my f***ing pack is that f***ing happening!

“His name is Kale. On all of my trips here he will be coming so I thought to introduce you” Both Alpha Kyle and Luna Cindy encouraged Kale to come forth, telling him softly that Jake, Garry and I were safe and this pack treat Omegas right, just like theirs and Luna Cindy’s former pack does. Kale was a bit hesitant, but when he did step out from behind them and looked up from the ground, there was a loud “MINE!” being called. Kale immediately started to shake from the loudness but it was like something told him to relax before his brother or Luna could.

Us mated couples knew what was yell was, it was a wolf claiming their mate publicly. It definitely sounded like a wolf. We turn to see that Garry, who was the only other person there, was looking directly at Kale, his eyes were his wolf’s eyes. I immediately knew now why he was on edge all morning, why he was tense before. Garry’s wolf had sensed that something was going to happen today, so therefore he himself was on edge and probably tense as well. Garry slowly walked up to Kale, while Kale was still standing there looking at Garry, not shaking as much as he was before, but like he just couldn’t look away from Garry. He wasn’t 18 yet, he looked around 16, so he wouldn’t be able to tell who his mate is himself just yet.

But that wasn’t stopping him from starring at Garry in the eyes, and letting Garry walk right up to him without his wolf wanting to submit. Omega wolves will feel the urge to submit to the dominant wolves, who are the more higher ranking than them, it was in the Omega wolf’s submissive nature. I wasn’t sure if in Kale’s case, it was because of he was born into a Alpha bloodline, or if somehow deep down, his wolf knew something that Garry knew, that we all knew.

As soon as Garry was right in front of Kale, them being just inches apart. Garry said just one word that confirmed our suspicions, one word that seemed to thrill us all, but leave a half thrilled and half scared Kale. The word that left Garry’s mouth by his wolf’s voice was “Mate”
