‘’And that’s why you woke up early to make breakfast and set the table like this? This right here spells love and thank you for the effort, I love the flowers and I love the heart shape you have made with the food.’’

She doesn’t respond, instead she sits down and dishes for me, breakfast is quiet.

‘’What do you want us to do today?’’ she asks when we are done eating.

The food was good, it was actually better than I thought it would be.

‘’I don’t even feel like doing anything today.’’

‘’I won’t allow you to sleep the entire day, how about we go to Tiffany’s canyon? My treat.’’

‘’I have no objection except that it will be my treat.’’

‘’You don’t have to---.’’

‘’I will pay, come on let’s go and bath.’’

‘’You want us to bath together?’’

‘’You have already seen me n***d and vice versa, I see no harm in taking a bath together.’’

‘’You are pushing it too much!’’ she rolls her eyes.

‘’It’s just a bath or maybe you are scared you will be tempted to have s*x with me in the shower.’’

‘’I love you too,’’ I stand up and head to the bedroom, she follows me.

‘’I was only joking about taking a bath together, you can go in first.’’

‘’Fine!’’ she undressed, wraps a towel around her waist and heads to the bathroom. I wait for a couple of minutes then I undress and follow her into the bathroom, I get behind her, kissing her neck and wrapping my hands around her belly.

‘’Daniel!’’ She exclaims. ‘’What is this?’’

‘’I just want to take a bath with my wife.’’

‘’I am not even your real wife, this is a business arrangement, you can’t just do whatever you want to do, you--.’’

I turn her around and kiss her deeply, igniting a fire within, from the time we had s*x Stella drives me crazy with desire- I literally can’t keep my hands off her! And If I am being honest with myself I think I like her more than I should.

One moment, we are just kissing and the next we are having s*x in the hot steamy shower. We have s*x until her legs are too weak to stand, I help her bath before I carry her to the bed and kiss her.

In no time, I slip into bed and pull her close to me.

‘’I want you to do me a favour,’’ I whisper.

‘’For the next remaining months of this marriage, let’s allow things to flow, no questions asked, let’s just enjoy ourselves and at the end of the six months, we part ways with no regrets whatsoever.’’

Monday morning, I am standing in front of the mirror doing my hair when Daniel walks up to me and asks me to help me with his tie. I turn around and adjust his tie. He is clad in a black pinstripe suit with a white shirt underneath.

‘’You look good my husband, let me a take a photo of you.’’

He poses for a photo, I grab my phone and take a couple of photos of him then we get some selfies together and head downstairs for breakfast. After breakfast, Daniel drives us for work, at my workplace, he steps out of the car, helps me out and walks me to my office while carrying my handbag, to anyone looking at us, we are a couple in love.

‘’Thank you for walking me into the office, you are such a loving husband,’’ I tease.

He doesn’t respond instead he leans in and crashes his mouth to mine, holding me tight, kissing me hard.

A moment later, he pulls off and says, ‘’Have a great day, I will pick you up for lunch.’’

And with that he walks out of the office, I smile to myself wondering what’s happening between us, I have noticed there’s always a burst of intense heat that flares between us when he touches or kisses me, I have never experienced such with anyone.

My day starts off with catching up on emails before I engage myself in some quiet strategic thinking and brainstorming.

A moment later, my P.A walks into the office to give me a schedule of my meetings for the day ahead.

‘’Thank you for the update and can you please get me some coffee?’’

‘’There’s an employee lounge down the hallway where you can grab a coffee.’’

‘’Excuse me?’’ I shoot her a serious look.

‘’I am here to provide administrative help and keep you organized, making coffee doesn’t fall under my assistant’s job listing.’’

‘’What the--,’’ I stop myself mid-sentence, I was almost cursing this stupid lady.

‘’If you will excuse me, I will be at my desk.’’

I don’t bother to respond as I watch her walk out of the room, she should thank God I am still trying to be in daddy P’s good books otherwise I would have put her in her place already, I hate people with stinking attitudes.

I spent the next couple of minutes checking the website for the company for some updates I requested implemented related to a new competition which we are hosting to promote one of the products we are yet to launch. The competition was my idea, I am excited to see that it has attracted a lot of attention from different people, daddy P will definitely be happy with me.

At 9 hours, I step out of my office and head to the conference hall for a meeting with my team. Leading the meeting, we discuss pending projects and deadlines then I delegate marketing tasks to some team members.

‘’I expect to see reports on my desk by Wednesday, we will have our next marketing meeting on Friday, this meeting is dismissed, let’s all get to work,’’ I say before I rise to my feet and walk out.

‘’Stella!’’ Daddy P calls when I am about to enter my office.

‘’Yes sir,’’ I turn.

He smiles, ‘’you can call me daddy P, everyone does.’’

‘’Hey daddy P.’’

‘’How are you?’’

‘’I am good.’’

‘’How’s the job coming up?’’

‘’Fine.’’

‘’I was just checking the website and I must say your idea for the promotion has attracted a lot of attention, this is good.’’

‘’You are welcome child and keep up the good work.’’

‘’Let me not keep you, I am sure you have a lot of things to work on, enjoy the rest of the day.’’

‘’Enjoy your day too,’’ I smilingly say. It’s amazing to hear him appreciate my efforts, his words have definitely lifted my mood.

‘’Hello Monday! Greetings from the Mumbi!’’ That’s the caption from Kristy’s recent photo on her page. As usual her followers are busy hyping her up, talking about how she is their inspiration and how they love her and Daniel.

These people are the reason Kristy is growing wings, something needs to happen that will shake her social media fame.

Walking into the bedroom, George snatches the phone from my hands, he just stepped out of the shower. He is heading out of town for a business trip in Mansa. I can’t wait for him to leave. I need some time alone so I can perfectly plan my next move.

‘’What the hell are you trying to do? Give me back my phone George!’’

‘’Your obsession with this woman is getting out of hand.’’

‘’I am not obsessed with her, she is just so irritating and her posts keep popping up.’’

‘’You always say she is annoying yet you are always watching her.’’

‘’She thinks she is all that, she is not even as beautiful as she thinks she is, I wonder what she looks like when she wakes up in the morning without all that makeup, the fake hair and lashes.’’

He stares at my phone then he looks up at me, ‘’Stella is a very beautiful woman, I think she looks beautiful even without makeup and you want to know what else? She and your Ex look good together, they are a perfect match.’’

I roll my eyes, ‘’you are trying to annoy me right? Well not today Satan, not today.’’

Throwing my phone on the bed he laughs, ‘’Jealousy will kill you my woman. You need to heal and forget about these people, they obviously don’t give a s**t about you, uzalowa if you continue like this.’’

I actually applied for a job at Msizi Daily Mail as a Personal Assistant and they called me to attend interviews. I haven’t told George about it because I know he won’t approve but I need this job and I must get it.

‘’Thank you for attending these interviews, we shall keep in touch,’’ Kenzie says. She was the one interviewing me.

Kenzie seems like a nice person and in my opinion she is more beautiful than that boastful Kristy.

I get up from the chair, ‘’Thank you very much Miss Msizi, I look forward to working with you. And away from work, I wanted to ask, are you in any way related to Stella Msizi that famous vlogger who is acts like she runs the world.’’

She looks at me for a moment before she says, ‘’Stella is my father’s first child from his first wife.’’

I laugh, ‘’your sister? I follow her and I don’t think she is even as interesting as she thinks she is.’’

‘’Now that I think about it, I think your face looks familiar, have we met before?’’

‘’I am Joan’s mother, Daniel’s Ex-girlfriend.’’

‘’Oh, now that explains it, I saw you on some of the photos that were posted on Kachepa. You ran away from your child when she was terribly ill and only appeared during her funeral, no offence but you are a disgrace to womanhood.’’

‘’You can’t judge me if you haven’t walked a mile in my shoes, I have my reasons for doing what I did.’’

‘’Thank you, I will be waiting for the call,’’ I grab my bag and walk out of her office.

After she leaves, I turn off my computer, grab my bag and walk out too. I am meeting my mother for lunch. I don’t know what to think about Nkoli but she sure has guts, I like her confidence, I will talk to mum about her and see what she will advise.

When I get to the restaurant an hour later, I spot mum sitting by the window, having a glass of wine, I walk towards her.

‘’Mrs. Msizi!’’ I exclaim.

‘’The apple of my eye,’’ she stands up and hugs me, ‘’you look beautiful, how are you?’’

‘’I am fine mummy, how are you? You look good too.’’

‘’Thank you child, I have already ordered for you so take a sit.’’

‘’Thank you,’’ I sit down and pour myself some wine.

‘’Work is great, how is dad, he hasn’t been around for the last couple of days.’’

‘’Your father hasn’t been well because of that stupid daughter of his, he is still affected by the fact that she got married without his consent. I don’t even blame that girl, I blame the mother, she is the one wrongly influencing her.’’

‘’Do you think Stella’s mother is still in love with dad? Is that what this is all about?’’

‘’I think so, because if she had moved on, she wouldn’t be acting this bitchy.’’

The waiter walks towards us and she places the food on the table.

‘’There’s a lady who came for interviews today, she is Joan’s mother.’’

We eat while I tell her all about Nkoli and she listens attentively.

‘’You should hire her,’’ she says when I am done.

‘’Yes, you should hire her, she seems to have pending issues with her baby daddy, we need her by our side. We can use her to destroy that stupid girl who thinks she is untouchable.’’

‘’I will call her when I get back to the office.’’

‘’Please do and when she reports for work, make her your friend, make her believe that we are on her side, we won’t even have to lift a finger to get to Stella’s downfall, this Nkoli girl will do everything with her own hands.’’
