Chapter 71

" You feel hungry, you order food. This girl ain't moving from here..." She slid from his laps and sat beside him, intertwining their hands...

One moment she was teasing him and the other she was looking at him all lovingly...What a weird couple. If only I had the same fate with Ciara...

A smile faded from my face the moment I remembered how hurt she was that night when I broke the news at her..

"Jaxon are you okay???"Ethan waved his hand infront of my face, snapping me back to the harsh reality....

"Will Ciara ever forgive me???"I thought out loud..

"I am sorry guys, I just got lost in there...."I faked a smile....

"Bro, are you for real??" Ethan shook his head..

"Ethan don't be hard on him...Jaxon imagine your baby growing without a father. Having to be teased in school, Ariana having to deal with his sickness late at night, going for school meetings, having to lie that you coming home..Do you want that life for your kid???"Max spoke with emphasis..

"But she can always call me and I will be there..."

"It's never the same. I grew without a father and trust me it's never easy. Each night I would pray that my dad would show up on our door..I would never wish such a life on any kid especially the one the father is scared to man up..." He spoke in a sad tone forcing me to look down in embarrassment...

"So what do I do???" I whispered...

"Ciara is married to that arrogant brother of yours. It's a high time you move on and get a family of your own. If you aren't marrying her for the love atleast do this for the kid..." Max advised and kissed Jane's hand,"I would never trade you for anything baby..."

Just when I was about to say something, Ciara stormed in...I could feel my heart pounding fast. I wanted to ran to her, lift her off the floor and hug her so tight.

Forgive me my beloved, I am not worth your tears...

"You two should talk in Brian's room..."Jane suggested...

I could see Ciara shake her head in disapproval but Jane ignored her...

"Jane, if she doesn't want us to talk, it's fine by me..." I raised my hands up in surrender..

"Why shouldn't we talk???I don't have anything to lose. If they want us to talk then fine..."She rolled her eyes, stood from the sofa and walked to Brian's room...

I stood up, took a deep breath and followed her...

When I walked into the room, I found her standing by the window..

"Do you remember the memories we have shared in this house????" How could I be stupid to ask her that???

"What do you want Jaxon???" She turned to face me and her face yelled anger...

"How have you been???Mason told me you rarely speak or eat nowadays. Is it because of the pregnancy???" Why couldn't I stop talking rubbish???Was it because I was worried sick??

"For the last time Jaxon, do you have something to tell me????" She thundered and took few steps towards me...

"Max, Jane and Ethan think it's appropriate I marry Ariana since she is expecting my baby..." I blurted out and the look on her face changed from angry to surprised....

I noticed tears at the corner of her eyes which made me feel like crying as well...

"I think that is the best idea too. I am married to Jordan and I will never divorce him. So it's time you move on too..."She talked like she was choking...

"But...."

"This is goodbye Jaxon...I wish you all the best in your new life. I am in love with Jordan so as learn to love Ariana too..." She kissed me on the cheek and left..

I was about to go after her when my phone pinged with a message. It was from Ariana...

>>Goodbye Jaxon, I wouldn't force myself in your life anymore..You will never see me or your baby again. All the best as you fight for your lost love..

When I read the message, it finally dawned at me that I was about to lose the most important thing in my life.

. My child...

I can't lose Ciara and my baby too...

"What happened???"Ethan asked when I ran out of the room like a mad person.

"I will explain later but now I have to go..."

When I got home, I didn't even lock my car. I ran directly to Ariana's room and slammed it open..

There she was busy packing....

"Ariana, please don't leave me..." Those were the only words that came out of my mouth...

She turned around surprised, wiping the tears from her eyes...

"I have to Jaxon...Since I told you, I was pregnant. All you do is drink. You don't pick my calls or reply my texts. I don't wanna burden you.."She said in a hoarse voice...

What was her fault in this???I am the one who came to her room that night not the other way round. I was unfair to her...

"Ariana,"I walked towards her and placed my hands on her shoulders,"Come with me. I am going to make things right.. "

I took her hand and dragged her to the living room.

"Caro, call everyone here..." I ordered her...

In ten minutes everyone was there apart from Ciara,Mason and Jordan...

"Whats up son??And why is Ariana crying???"My mom questioned...

"Dear family, I am marrying Ariana in a month's time. Start the wedding preparations..." I said boldly and she just froze, her eyes wide open..

"She is pregnant with my baby..." I added only for granny and mom to scream excitedly...

"Congratulations son..."Mom hugged me,"I am going to be a grandma again..."

"But why did you two have a baby before getting married???"Granny grabbed both of our ears..

"We are sorry granny..." We said in unison.

"Come here.." She hugged us, whispering words of blessing to us.

Chloe and Sophie also hugged us and gave us their congratulations...Even thou, I wasn't happy I felt like that's the best decision I have ever made...

I turned to Ariana only to find her crying,"Shhhh!!!It's over now. We are going to get married in a month's time..." I wiped her tears with my thumbs before hugging her,"I am sorry for telling you to ab*rt our baby. I am glad you didn't...."
