Deep beneath a heavily guarded government complex in Washington D.C., the headquarters shared by the FBI and CIA buzzed with activity.
Rows of armed security officers stood at their posts. Surveillance cameras scanned every hallway. Electronic doors opened only with special clearance.
Into this fortress walked four strangers.
Three men and one woman.
The woman walked ahead of them confidently, her black coat flowing behind her. Her sharp eyes scanned everything around her like a predator studying prey.
Her name was Nyxara Voss.
One of Lord Fedrah’s most feared assassins.
At the main security checkpoint, two guards blocked their path.
“Identification,” one guard demanded.
Nyxara smiled slightly and handed over a forged diplomatic card.
“We’re here to meet your top intelligence director. Dr. Adrian Keller.”
The guard frowned.
“And what is this regarding?”
Nyxara leaned slightly forward.
“Global defense matters.”
The guard exchanged a look with his partner.
After a quick call through the system, the gates opened.
“You’re cleared. Conference room level seven.”
Nyxara nodded.
“Much appreciated.”
The four of them walked inside.

The Intelligence Conference Room
Dr. Adrian Keller sat at the head of a massive circular table. Around him were twelve board members—military generals, intelligence analysts, and defense scientists.
In the center of the room stood a holographic projection table used for classified briefings.
When the door opened, Keller stood up.
“Ah. Our visitors.”
Nyxara stepped forward gracefully.
“Dr. Keller. Thank you for seeing us.”
He gestured toward the seats.
“Please. Introduce yourselves.”
Nyxara nodded.
“My name is Nyxara Voss. My colleagues and I represent an independent defense system.”
She purposely avoided mentioning Lord Fedrah or Ember Kingdom.
Keller leaned back in his chair.
“Well then, Miss Voss. What is so urgent that it requires this meeting?”
Nyxara pressed a small device.
The hologram table flickered.
A picture appeared.
Baby Pyra.
Then another image appeared.
The photo the mysterious old man had taken at school.
Pyra—red hair shining.
Nyxara pointed at the hologram.
“This girl.”
“She is the reason we’re here.”
One of the generals leaned forward.
“Who is she?”
Nyxara spoke calmly.
“She possesses pyrokinesis.”
The room went quiet.
Nyxara continued.
“She can generate fire with her mind.”
Another image appeared—simulated flames surrounding Pyra.
“And that’s not all.”
She pressed another command.
New data appeared.
“Telekinesis.”
“Telepathy.”
“Mind control.”
The board members murmured in disbelief.
“She can move objects… read minds… and influence thoughts.”
One scientist whispered,
“That’s impossible…”
Nyxara folded her arms.
“Yet it’s real.”
Keller stared at the hologram carefully.
Then slowly…
he smiled.
“Wow.”
The board members turned to him.
Keller leaned forward excitedly.
“If we had this girl…”
He began listing possibilities.
“We could develop new energy sources.”
“Military defense systems.”
“Fire-resistant technology.”
“Psychic communication networks.”
“Biological weapon countermeasures.”
One general added eagerly,
“She could replace nuclear deterrents entirely.”
Another scientist nodded.
“A living nuclear reactor.”
Keller laughed.
“This girl could solve half the world's problems.”
Nyxara’s expression hardened.
“No.”
The room turned to her.
“We find her…”
She spoke slowly.
“And kill her.”
Silence filled the room.
One board member frowned.
“And why should we do that?”
Another added,
“She could revolutionize science.”
Keller nodded.
“She could change the world.”
Nyxara replied coldly,
“She is dangerous.”
Keller smiled.
“All powerful assets are dangerous.”
He pressed the communication button on the table.
His voice went across every military communication channel.
“Attention all units.”
“This is Director Keller.”
“We have identified a high-value asset.”
“Codename: Phoenix Girl.”
Her holographic picture appeared across military screens.
“Red hair.”
“Possible dragon companion.”
The room looked confused at that part.
But Keller continued.
“All units prepare retrieval.”
“Police.”
“FBI.”
“CIA.”
“Army.”
“Special Forces.”
“Recover the asset.”
He leaned closer to the microphone.
“Do not kill her.”
His voice hardened.
“She belongs to us now.”
Then he said one last line.
“Recover my asset.”

Military Mobilization
Across multiple bases, alarms sounded.
Soldiers rushed through hallways grabbing weapons.
Vehicles rolled out.
Helicopters powered up.
Technicians loaded tranquilizer rifles.
Fireproof combat suits were distributed.
At the center of the operation stood a strong military commander.
Commander Valerie Stone.
She stood in front of hundreds of soldiers gearing up.
Her voice was loud and firm.
“Listen up!”
The soldiers stood at attention.
“Our target is extremely dangerous.”
She pointed to Pyra’s holographic image.
“Red hair.”
“Female teenager.”
“She can produce fire.”
“Telekinesis and telepathy possible.”
The soldiers listened carefully.
Commander Stone continued.
“Most important detail…”
She pointed again.
“She may have a dragon.”
Some soldiers looked confused.
But no one questioned it.
“Everyone keep your fireproof overalls on at all times.”
She held up a tranquilizer rifle.
“You are NOT authorized to kill the target.”
“Use tranquilizers.”
“Knock her down.”
“Recover her alive.”
She raised her hand.
“Teams move out!”
“Go! Go! Go!”
Hundreds of soldiers marched toward helicopters and armored trucks.
The entire operation had begun.

Meanwhile – Secret Communication
In a quiet parking garage outside the base, Nyxara Voss stepped aside and pulled out a secure phone.
The screen flickered.
A holographic projection appeared.
Lord Fedrah.
Nyxara spoke calmly.
“My lord.”
“The plan has changed.”
“The government wants to capture her alive.”
Fedrah leaned forward.
“They refuse to kill her?”
“Yes.”
“They want her for experiments.”
Fedrah smiled slowly.
“Good.”
Nyxara blinked.
“My lord?”
Fedrah’s eyes darkened.
“Play along.”
“Let them capture her.”
Nyxara understood immediately.
“And when she is in their base?”
Fedrah’s smile became cold.
“Then we kill her.”
“She will be surrounded.”
“No dragon.”
“No escape.”
Nyxara nodded.
“As you command.”
The call ended.
She turned back toward the military convoy assembling outside.
Helicopters lifted into the air.
Armored vehicles rolled onto the roads.
Every unit moving toward one location.
Pyra’s school.
Inside one helicopter, Commander Stone spoke into her headset.
“All units confirm target zone.”
The reply came instantly.
“Target zone confirmed.”
“High school perimeter.”
Stone nodded.
“Good.”
She looked at Pyra’s picture again.
“Let’s go get our fire girl.”
Above the city sky…
Dozens of helicopters flew in formation.
And they were heading straight for Pyra.
