Murmurs came from the hallway, and Mark tilted his head to hear better. However, the man couldn’t make out the words, so he gave up.
A few moments later, Victor came back into the room, and a woman followed him closely. Her somewhat exotic air seemed to electrify the atmosphere.
Mark scrutinized the woman with analytical and cold eyes. The man had become aware that, lately, he had lost the ability to enjoy the sight of a beautiful woman.
