CHAPTER SEVEN
Mark shook his head in disbelief when he looked at the silhouette hanging in the harness over the side of the building. He couldn’t understand why no one had reported him earlier.
It wasn’t every day that people would see a body dangling like that. The detective would have thought that someone would have raised the alarm sooner. At least one person from down in the street might have felt the need to check the sky and thus might have seen the corpse.
“We’ve waited for you to bring him down onto the platform,” the doctor informed the detective in a dry tone of voice.
Mark threw a sideways glance at the doctor, expecting that this one would pounce on him. The man was known for his rude interactions with the people in the force.
