It's scary to think that am away from my home ,my mother , and brother and the fact that I know no one in this city , I could be kidnapped today and no one would notice ...."oh god what the hell was I thinking " okay don't overthink this Elaine don't be stupid you got this....yeah I got this I can do this.

So since it's my first day in America and am already settled in into my apartment I decided to look for a Starbucks I've never been to one but I always wanted to go to one and I also saw that we have one right across the street lucky me right . I grabbed my key and phone and wallet and got out of the apartment making sure I locked it before I go ...as I was crossing the street I couldn't help but admire this beautiful city I can't wait to call it home ...even though everything was rushing the cabs and cars everyone was rushing this was sure different than south Africa..after I crossed the road I quickly got in to the Starbucks place and the place was actually full and the was a line ...so I decided to wait in it .... after a couple of minutes it was my turn ...I ordered my drink and told them my name the cashier who name was written on her shirt as Amanda told me to wait at the desk to my right and winked at me...I shugged it off and sat down ...since I was pretty bored I decided to play with my Dread's they were long and dark blonde I needed them to compliment my light caramel skin after that Amanda came a handed me my coffee and sandwich I thanked her but she kept staring at me.."may I help you " I asked with a smile politely ..she smirked and said " am sorry I just can't stop staring your real beautiful you know that" .....I felt my face getting hotter smiling and exposing my dimples.."thank you your also pretty" and I wasn't lying she had dirty blonde short her that reached her shoulders and beautiful green eyes ...her skin looked so smooth.

"So are you new here it's just that it's my first time seeing you here ...and I've worked here for 2 years so am sure I could remember a face a beautiful as yours....she said crossing her arms also revealing a smirk yet again...."actually yes I am I just moved here from SA yesterday am starting my new job here tomorrow" I said with and excited smile while mentioning my jobs.

She looked at me intrigued and sat in front of me "oh really wow I didn't imagine your were from SA ...that fantastic ..so what's the jobs that made you move."

"Yeah urrh it's actually more of an internship in Lisa goldmore cooperations...

"WHAT THE f**k for real oh my god that the biggest company here well congratulations am happy for you but be careful they say the boss is a real b***h" she said with a hint of fear. ...great now am gonna be bullied by my own boss..."yeah well I hope everything goes great tomorrow anyway am sorry but I have to go"...." ohhhhh okay cool then but can I get your number .....you know so you can at least have a friend here...."...I smiled and gave her my number written on a napkin classic I know.."okay see you around Elaine beautiful name by the way"....I blushed and walked out the door , crossing the road and going to my apartment ...after the I threw my self on the bed hoping to catch some sleep and I drifted off to dreamland.
