“Things with Noah aren’t that good right now. He and I trying to patch things up but it’s kind of really difficult trying to keep up with his drinking…” she was already in tears when she finished talking, all the ice cream and cookies consumed during the entire conversation.
“And Johnson’s with Noah right now? Isn’t it not a good thing to let him stay with his drinking habits?” I felt my worry rise as I spoke.
She waved me off, “It’s okay. I sent Johnson to stay with Noah’s parents so he could visit… They’ll take care of him in Noah’s stead for the time being.”
I relaxed, “If you don’t like the guy why are you staying with him?”
She gave a sad smile, “I made a promise to myself to do everything I can to make it work. When I met with Noah,
