"Ms. Cruz, I need you to be in my office right now." tawag ni Light kay Jamaica sa kabilang linya. Hindi pa man siya naka sagot ay ibinaba na nito ang tawag. Nangagalaiti na naman sa inis si Jam dahil sa inakto ng binata. Padabog siyang pumunta sa opisina ng amo.Hindi na siya nag-atubiling kumatok pa dahil alam niyang hindi ito naka lock.
"Why are you calling me?" pabalang niyang tanong kay Light.
"Is that how you talk with your boss? No greetings?" mapang-asar na tanong ni Light sa dalaga. She rolled her eyes.
"Does it matter, sir?"
"Bakit ang ulo mo Ms.Cruz?Meron ka ba ngayon?"
"That is none of your business."sagot niya
"It is my business because you are working with me." he said seriously. Natahimik si Jamaica. It hits differently. Oo nga naman, she shoul not talk that way kasi amo niya ang kaharap ngayon. Whatever happened in the past is part of the past. Hindi nga siya nakilala nito or he is just pretending na Hindi sila magka kilala. It stabs her heart and it was so painful. Muntik na siyang maluha dahil sa sakit na naramdaman.
"Hey, Ms. Cruz are you okay? Is there something wrong?" naalarma naman si Light .
"I am fine, sir. Sorry for my bad behavior. Is there something that you want me to do?"she asked.
"Please give me a cup of coffee. And kindly give these papers to the accounting office. " he said.
"Noted, sir."she answered and kinuha ang mga folders.
Nag templa muna siya ng kape sa binata bago pumunta sa accounting department.
"Mr.Santos, ipinabigay ni boss sa iyo. He already signed that one." she said casually.
"Hi, Jamaica. Thank you. Anyway,are you free tonight?" nakangiting tanong ni Zach sa kanya.
"No . I am busy."she replied blankly.
"Come on, Jam. Let's have some fun. It's my birthday. Your presence is a good present that you could give me." he said.
"Happy Birthday, Mr. Santos but sorry I can't." she said and aalis sana pero pinigilan siya ni, Zach.
"Napaka killjoy mo naman." Zach said
"Mr. Santos,if a girl doesn't want you then don't force her. You are disrespecting her." Light said
"S-Sir? kinakabahan sabi ni Zach. Everyone is stunned to speak and they are shocked when Light appeared on their sight.
"Sir, what are you doing here?" kinakabahan pa rin sabi Zach ng makaharap si Light.
"Remove your hands on her." Light said strictly. Dali-dali naman binitiwan ni Zach si Jam.
"This is my first and last warning to you, Mr. Santos, once come near to her or touch even the tip of her hair, better pack up your things." he said firmly. Natahimik ang lahat. Pagkatapos ng eksenang iyon ay hinawakan niya si Jam at saka umalis sila.
"Pwede mo nang bitiwan yong kamay ko." angal ni Jam ng nasa loob na sila ng elevator.
"You are making a scene there. Ano na lang masabi nila?" she said irritably.
"I was saving you from that jerk." he said
"You do not need to save me. I can handle myself." she said
"tsssssk. You better thank me instead." he said
"Duh, why should I?"
"You are ungrateful."
"Whatever. Wala ka na bang e utos,kamahalan?" sarkastiko niyang tanong. Minsan di niya talaga gets ang binata. Bipolar ato to eeh. Nasa isip niya. Gaya ngayon. taimtim naman itong naka tingin sa kanya.
"What?" singhal niya.
"Nothing. Never mind." he said. Namayani ang katahimikan sa loob ng elevator hanggang sa makarating na sila sa 10th floor. Nauna na siyang lumabas at sumunod naman si Light.
"How is Amarie?" tanong nito sa kanya. Nilingon niya ito para sagutin.
"She is fine. Her mother will undergo the surgery," she replied.
"Oh, I see. I'll just visit her later." he said
"Okay po. I'll just go to my office." she said at iniwan si Light. Habang wala pa si Bliss siya muna ang pumalit bilang secretary ng binata.
Jamaica is silently drinking her tequila at the bar counter. Gusto niyang mag unwind kaya pumunta siya sa Bar. Some people are dancing at the dance floor wildly, some are busy flirting and making out. She did not mind them at all. She wanted peace of mind.
"Hi, Ms. Beautiful."
She did not respond. She thought na hindi siya ang kina-usap ng lalaki
"Ang sungit mo naman." anang lalaki
"Are you referring with me?" she asked
"Yup. It seems that you are alone. Do you want some have fun?" the man pervertly said
"Sorry, I am not interested. " she said blankly
"Oh, I like your guts. Do not worry, you will surely enjoy it." he said
"Mahirap bang intindihin na ayaw ko sayo." pasigaw niyang sabi.They caught the attention from ther people inside the bar
"Pakipot ka pa eeh. " the man said and held her wrist.
"Man, if a woman said no , then do not insist." a man from another table said.He looked so familiar to her. Binitiwan naman siya ng alkali at umalis ng walang pasabi-sabi.
"Oh, its you again Miss snobby. " sabi ng lalaki habang nakangiti sa kanya
"Excuse me.Do I know you?" mataray niyang tanong nito
"Ouch,it hurts.You forgot my handsome face." anang lalaki at nag kunwaring nasaktan ito ng hawakan nito ang dibdib.
She rolled her eyes. This man helped him but he is too full of himself.
"Well,anyway since you forgot my name. I want you to remember it. The only handsome man in this place, Sol. " nakangiting sabi nito at inilahad ang kamay. Tiningnan niya si Sol from head to toe. Mukha naman nasa tamang pag-iisip ito. Gwapo at halatang may halong lahi pero masyado lang gwapong gwapo sa sarili. aniya sa kanyang isip.
"I know that I am handsome." he said while smiling
"Di naman halatang GGSS ka no?"she said
"What is GGSS mean?" Sol said dumbfoundedly.
"Gwapong gwapo sa sarili." she said directly
"Oh gosh, you are insulting me again Ms. Disaster."
"Ms. Disaster?"
"Yup. Ms. Disaster because every time I see you , you put yourself in danger. " he said.
"As if I like it. That was a coincidence only." she said
"Or maybe I am your knight and shining armor." he teasingly said to her.
"Eww, you are too full to yourself Mr. Umalis ka nga sa harap ko." pagtatakwil niya sa binata
"Ooops, nope. I helped you. You owe me."
"Mr. Hambog, I do not owe you anything kaya better yet be out of my sight kung ayaw mo balian kita." pagbabanta niya sa dalaga
"You are so harsh Ms.Danger."
"Duh, ang kulit ninyo talagang mga lalaki kayo. Haist pati naman dito may peste na mga lalaki." she said
"Maka peste to wagas." reklamo ni Sol. "Siguro heart broken ka dahil mainit ulo mo." he said
"It is none of your business. "she said. Sa gabing iyon walang ibang ginawa kundi asarin si Jamaica na kinaiinisan niya naman. Kumukulo ang dugo niya sa binata.Hindi niya lang pinansin ang kaingayan nito.
