A Night with a Stranger

Chapter 26

Hindi alam ni Jamaica kung saan siya dadalhin ni Light. He didn't tell her where they were going. He just packed up their things and now they were inside the car going somewhere she did not know.

“Saan ba kasi tayo pupunta?”pangungulit niya sa binata habang nagmaneho ng sasakyan.

"Baby, just relax, okay? Trust me." malambing na sabi ni Light sa kanya habang nagmamaneho ng sasakyan. Light is fond of surprise. Mahilig talaga itong aalis na walang pasabi kahit nong dati pa. Dadalhin siya sa isang lugar na sure naman siyang mag-eenjoy silang dalawa. She did not have a choice kundi magpati-anod na lang sa agos ng buhay nilang dalawa. She did not say anything at mas piniling ipikit ang mata dahil inaantok din naman talaga siya. Moments later nakatulog si Jamaica. Sinulyapan ni Light ang natutulog na dalaga at hindi niya maiwasan na mapangiti. He wanted to surprise her kaya hindi niya sinabi sa dalaga kung saan sila pupunta.

"Baby, wake up."ani Light habang mahinang niyogyog ang balikat ng dalaga.

"Hmmmmmm." tanging tugon lang ng dalaga habang tinampal ang kamay niya. Napangiti na lamang siya sa inasta ni Jamaica. He knew na antok pa talaga ang dalaga but he needs to wake her up baka ma late pa sila sa flight nilang dalawa. So, he kissed her on the lips para magising ito and it was really effective. Nakasimanagot itong nakatingin sa kanya.

"Baby, sorry to disturb you but you need to wake up or else we might be late for our flight." nakangiti niyang sabi ng dalaga.

"Flight? Are you serious?" gulat na tanong at di makapaniwalang sabi ng dalaga. Tiningnan niya ang labas and true to his words nasa airport sila ngayon."Seryoso ka ba sa pinagsasabi mo, Light? saan ba tayo kasi pupunta?" tanong niya ulit sa binata.

"We are going to Bohol."malapad na ngiti sagot ni Light sa kanya. Mas lalong nanlaki ang mata ni Jamiaca sa sinabi ng binata.

"Seriously?" she asked unbelievably.

"Yup." light nodded. " I saw it on your wishlist last night that you wanted to go to Bohol. " Light added."We have a long weekend so why not enjoy and travel together?" he said. "So let's go now".

Pagkababa nila sa sasakyan nakita niya si Mang Ed doon. Ang driver ni Light.

“Good afternoon,maam Jam.” nakangiting bati ni Mang Ed sa kanya.

“Good afternoon din mang Ed.” nahihiyang sagot niya sa matanda.

Ibinigay ni Light ang susi ng sasakyan kay Mang Ed bago sila umalis. Si Light na rin ang nagbitbit ng kanilang gamit.

“Are you excited?” tanong ni Light sa kanyang habang hinahawakan ang kanyang kamay. They were holding their hands together going inside the airport.

They landed at Bohol Airport. Unlike in Metro Manila, the traffic was not heavy. You are surrounded by beautiful tourist spots in Bohol. Jamaica's eyes twinkled as they landed. She can't help herself not to be mesmerized by the beauty of Bohol. She can't wait to explore this place. Paglabas nila sa airport may sumundo agad sa kanila na sasakyan.

"We are going to Panglao Island." Light informed her as they entered the car.

"Oh? Really? I heard that Panglao Island is surrounded by beautiful beaches.

They traveled from Tagbilaran airport to Panglao Island. They checked in at Hennan Resort Alona Beach. This is one of the most expensive hotels in Panglao Island. Upon arriving, they checked into their hotel room. Of course, they shared one room. It has a balcony and you can enjoy watching the ocean view.

"Do you like it? or we should transfer to other hotels?" tanong ni Light sa kanya ng makapasok sila sa suite nila.

"No. I like it here."masayang sagot niya sa binata." Thank you." she said while looking at him.

"You are always welcome, baby. You deserve a break." Light answered while kissing her on the forehead. "I know, you are tired. You can take a rest for a while. Tomorrow, we will explore this place. I already prepare our itinerary." Light added.

"Wow. I am speechless.Thank you." sabi niya sa malambing na boses at yumakap sa binata.

"Baby, you are sweet now. I should often bring you on a travel so that you will cling to me. hahaha." pagbibiro ni Light sa kanya.

"Tsk."

"I'll just go downstair and I'll be back. Take a sleep first. I know you are still sleepy." Light said and touched her head.

"Okay."

It was already dark outside when Jamaica woke up. She did not know how long she slept. She looked around but Light was not there. She was wearing a sleeveless white maxi dress and she never tied her long black hair. She went outside to look for Light. She went to the seashore. She felt the breeze from the ocean enveloped her body. She heard the splashing water. The moon and the stars gave a dim light. She loves it. She felt solace.

"Gosh, where is he?" she said. She contacted him but he did not answer. Looking around may maraming mga dayuhan ang naroroon. German, korean, Chinese, and many more but she did not care. She continued walking in the seashore when a man approached him. He is handsome with his blue eyes. From his look, she thought he was American.

"Hi, beautiful lady." the man said with a smile.

"Oh, hello." tipid niyang sagot. She did not want to be rude.

"I am Adam." he introduced himself. "And you are?" he asked

"Nice meeting you, Adam. I am Jamaica." she answered respectfully. He meant no harm for her kaya nakigpag shake hands siya kay Adam.

"Oh, nice meeting you Jamaica. You have a nice name." he said while smiling at her. "Are you alone?"he asked.

" Ah, y-----" before she could answer biglang sumulpot si Light sa tabi niya.

"Baby..." he said and wrapped her hands around her.

"Oh, you are with your boyfriend." Adam said in surprise. Light gave a deadly glare to Adam. "Nice meeting you Jamaica. I have to go." Adam said and left the two individuals.

"Para kung kabute. Kung saan -saan lang sumusulpot." sabi niya sa binata at kinalas ang pagkayakap nito sa kanya.

"Who was that guy?" he asked.

"Nah, he is Adam. He just approached me." she replied casually.

"OKay." he just responded and shrugged his shoulder.

"where have you been? I've called you but you did not answer it."she said while looking at him.

"I just did something important." sgaot ng binata. " Are you hungry?" he asked.

"Not that much. I just want to feel the moment and walk in her." she replied.

"Then, let's walk."he said while smiling and holding her hands. They were holding their hands together while walking in the seashore. Jamaica wished that it wouldn't end that fast. She enjoyed having him around. Medyo malayo na rin ang nilalakad na at wala nang masyadong tao.

"Let's go back." she said.

"Just wait. Let's go there first." sabi ni Light. While they were walking near the area that Light was pointing there were petals scattered on the white sand and she realized there were picnic blankets on there with lots of food and a bottle of champagne. It was surrounded by candles that gave a luminous light. Not that far from the area, there was a telescope. She was astonished. She looked at him who was smiling at her now.

"Are you surprise?" he asked. She nodded and hugged him.

"Thank you."she said. She never expected this to happen. Light was so extra-romantic. He guided him towards the picnic blanket.

"Why are you doing this, Light?" she asked. She did not want to assume because it might break her heart. She wanted confirmation.

"Because I want to make you happy, baby. You deserve this." he said lovingly while caressing her hair.

"But you don't need to do this. It's too much. If you keep on doing this, I might expect something and assume." she said straightly. "I am afraid that I can't help myself not to fall for you." she added. Puno ng takot, pangamba at pag-alinlangan.

"Look at me, baby." Light said while facing her. "I don't want you to feel that I am just doing this because I just want s*x from you. I don't even know why I am doing this for you but my heart said this is the best thing that I am going to do for you. I know you have been a huge part of my life before but I can't remember and it sucks." Light said continually while looking at Jamaica's eyes. She was bewildered. She wanted to ask but she let him explain maybe this time, it would answer everything.

"Baby, I am sorry if ever I made a big mistake to you. I do not remember anything from my past but I want to create new memories with you. " he said.

"Light..." she said in a whisper and her tears fell from her eyes.

"Ssssssh... don't cry baby. " Light calmed her down and hugged her tightly. "Why are you crying, baby?"malambing na tanong Light sa dalaga while hinahaplos -haplos ang buhok nito.

"I am just happy," she said. Light wiped her tears.

"Stop crying,baby. Let's enjoy this night, okay?" he said. Jamaica just nodded.

"Baby, be my girl. Let's make it official." he said. "I'll promise I court you everyday." he said.

Jamaica kissed him on his lips as her answer.

"What does that kiss mean?"

"It's a yes."she said while smiling at her. Upon hearing it, Light kissed her passionately under the moonlight.
