Alex stepped into Ethan's office, his expression professional, but with a hint of gravity. "Sir, I have some news about Annie."
Ethan's eyes snapped up from his work, his interest piqued. "What is it?"
Alex hesitated for a moment before speaking. "She's been proposed to by a guy named Ryan, a fellow student in her business program. And...she's accepted."
Ethan's expression froze, his eyes narrowing into slits. "What do you mean she's accepted?" he growled, his voice low and menacing.
Alex's expression remained neutral. "It appears they've been seeing each other for a while now, and he's proposed to her. She's said yes, sir."
Ethan's face turned white, his grip on his desk tightening until his knuckles turned white. "No," he whispered, his eyes flashing with anger and possessiveness. "That's not possible. She's mine."
Alex shifted uncomfortably, his eyes darting around the room. "Sir, I thought you should know-"
Ethan cut him off, his voice rising to a shout. "Get him out of the picture! I don't care what it takes, Alex. Make it happen."
Alex nodded, his expression unchanging. "I'll take care of it, sir."
Ethan's eyes seemed to bore into Alex's soul. "See that it's done," he growled, his voice dripping with menace.
Alex nodded and quickly left the office, leaving Ethan to seeth in his chair. His mind was racing, his thoughts consumed by Annie and the man who dared to come between them. He would stop at nothing to claim her, to make her his own. The thought of her with another man was unbearable.
As the minutes ticked by, Ethan's anger gave way to calculation. He leaned back in his chair, a cold smile spreading across his face. "You'll be mine, Annie," he whispered to himself. "No matter what it takes."
