Aysha’s Advice

299 Words
The next day, Reena found herself confiding in Aysha once again. They sat in their hotel room, sipping tea and chatting about their plans for the day. But Reena couldn’t shake the conversation she had with Rahul from her mind. She knew Aysha would have some insight, so she decided to open up. “Aysha, Rahul… he confessed his feelings to me last night,” Reena said, her voice trembling. “I don’t know what to do. I like him, but I’m not sure if I’m ready to start something new.” Aysha put down her tea and looked at Reena with a knowing smile. “Reena, you’ve been through a lot. But I think you owe it to yourself to give love another chance. Rahul has been so patient with you. He respects you, and he truly cares for you. You deserve someone who will appreciate you for who you are, and Rahul seems to be that person.” Reena sighed, feeling the weight of Aysha’s words. “I just don’t want to make the wrong decision. I’ve made mistakes in the past, and I don’t want to repeat them.” Aysha reached over and took Reena’s hand. “We all make mistakes, Reena. That’s how we grow. You can’t live your life in fear of what could happen. You need to trust yourself, and trust your heart. If you feel something for Rahul, then give it a chance. You don’t have to have all the answers right now. But you deserve to be happy, Reena. Don’t forget that.” Reena nodded, her heart full of conflicting emotions. She had always valued Aysha’s wisdom, and today was no different. She knew Aysha was right. She had to follow her heart, even if it meant stepping into the unknown.
