He closed the door behind him and locked it. I spun around. "What are you doing?" His eyes gleamed, a crooked smile on his face. In the tent that first night, Jesse had been silent, a lump in the dark. I had assumed he was asleep. Apparently, he had not slept at all. "I saw everything," he said. The words landed like stones in my stomach. "What are you talking about?" "Don't play dumb." He stepped closer. "The tent. The barn. The truck. I saw every little thing you two did."
