Aria's POV As I walked into my house, I dropped my backpack on the floor, the soft thud echoing through the hallway. I kicked off my shoes, feeling the cool wooden floor beneath my feet. The creaking of the floorboards beneath my feet was a familiar sound, one that brought me comfort. As I entered my room, I felt a wave of relief wash over me. My sanctuary. My haven. The soft lighting and plush furnishings enveloped me, calming my frazzled nerves. I glanced around the room, taking in the familiar sights. The walls were painted a soothing shade of light purple, and the furniture was a mix of modern and vintage pieces. My favorite books, artwork, and sentimental trinkets adorned the shelves, each one telling a story. I walked over to my desk, cluttered with books, papers, and writing supplies. My bookshelf was filled with my favorite novels and poetry collections, the worn spines a testament to my love for reading. A string of fairy lights hung from the ceiling, casting a warm glow over the room. It was raining outside, the sound of raindrops hitting the windowpane creating a soothing melody. I was grateful to be indoors, wrapped up in my fur coat jacket and thick socks to ward off the chill. I walked over to my nightstand and picked up my phone, wrapped in a purple cover. I slipped on my Bluetooth earbuds and selected Elastic Heart by Sia. The music filled my ears, and I felt my tension ease. As the music played, I flopped down on my bed, feeling exhausted from the day's events. My mind began to replay the encounter with Jason, the vampire guy who had talked to me after school and I couldn't help but smile. I couldn't believe it had actually happened. I opened w******p and typed out a message to my friends. "Hi girls, guess what? The hot new vampire guy talked to me today after school. Gosh, I almost blushed to death." I waited for their responses, munching on a piece of chocolate from my drawer. The sweetness hit my taste buds, and I savored the moment. A few minutes later, my phone buzzed with incoming messages. I chuckled as I read their responses. "OMG, are you serious?" from Ella. "You're kidding, right?" from Rose. "Come on, say something Aria" from Ella. "What did he say?" from Ella. I smiled, imagining their shocked expressions. I typed out a response, my fingers flying across the screen. "I'm so damn serious, guys. I mean, I was surprised to see him standing beside me. Oh my gosh, he's so cute." As I waited for their next responses, I felt a flutter in my chest. What did Jason's interest mean? Was he just being friendly, or was there something more? Rose's response came next. "Tomorrow at school, you'll give us full details of what happened." I replied, "Smiles... Sure I will, Good night guys, love you guys." "Sweet dreams, we love you too" from both Rose and Ella, sent almost simultaneously. I kept my phone back on the nightstand and turned off the light. As I covered myself with the duvet, my mind began to replay my conversation with Jason. The memory sent a flutter through my chest, and I closed my eyes, a sweet smile still on my face. As I drifted to sleep, my thoughts lingered on Jason, and I wondered what would tomorrow bring? (。♡‿♡。) The next day..... Aria's smile spread across her face as she stretched, arching her back and extending her arms over her head. She let out a gentle yawn, covering her mouth with the back of her hand. The warm sunlight streaming through the window highlighted the dust motes dancing in the air, and the soft hum of the refrigerator provided a comforting background noise. She was happy for two reasons, the first reason being that she didn't have nightmare about the grey werewolf chasing her in the forest and secondly she was happy that she was going to see Jason again today at school She tossed off the duvet and slipped her feet into her rabbit-eared purple flip-flops, feeling the soft plushness between her toes. The cool morning air brushed against her skin as she made her way to the bathroom to freshen up. After washing her face and brushing her teeth, Aria walked into the dining room, greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and toasted bread wafting from the kitchen. The sunlight streaming through the window highlighted the dust motes dancing in the air, and the sound of sizzling bacon filled the room. "Good morning, sweetie!" her aunt, Sandra, said with a smile, as she poured herself a cup of coffee. The clinking of cups and saucers accompanied her movements. "Morning, mom," Aria replied, giving her a quick hug. "Morning, mom," Kai chimed in, already seated at the table. Aria sat down beside Kai and poured herself a glass of juice. "Morning, Kai." "Hey, sis," Kai said, his eyes fixed on his phone. Aria sat down beside her brother, Kai, who was already seated at the table, his eyes fixed on his phone. The soft glow of the screen illuminated his face, and the sound of notifications buzzing in his pocket broke the morning silence. Their uncle, Diamond, looked up from his newspaper, the rustle of the pages a familiar sound, his eyes twinkling with amusement,"Stay out of trouble in school, kids." He said, his voice warm and gentle. "We will, dad," Aria and Kai said in unison. Sandra smiled. "Good. Now, eat up. You don't want to be late for school." Aria smiled, feeling a sense of comfort and security. She took a bite of her toast, savoring the crunchy texture and sweet flavor. As they finished breakfast, Sandra handed them their backpacks, the soft leather creaking as they slung them over their shoulders. "Have a great day, kids. I'll pick you up after school," Sandra said, her voice filled with warmth and concern. "We're taking a taxi, mom," Aria said. "You don't have to bother." "Okay, be careful then," Sandra said, concern etched on her face. "We will, mom," Kai said, already heading out the door. Aunt Sandra and Uncle Diamond had told them to call them mom and dad since they had no child of their own and Aria and Kai didn't have a problem with that. Aria followed Kai out the door, feeling a sense of excitement for the day ahead. (。♡‿♡。) .....At School.... After Aria had dropped Kai in his class. She quickly went over to her class so she wouldn't miss the first period. As for Kai, he is a protective and caring sibling who always looked out for Aria's well-being. His rugged features and strong jawline gave him a confident air, and his piercing blue eyes seemed to see right through any deception. Kai is a bit of a loner, but he had a soft spot for his sister and her friends. As Aria walked into the classroom, the hum of conversation and the scent of fresh paper filled the air. Fortunately for her, the math teacher walked into the class two minutes after she sat down. Mr Mike could be very strict even if you're one minute late to class but he was a little calm at her because she was the brightest student in class as she always solved any question being given to her. Aria Nightshade is a beautiful girl with her strawberry blonde hair and cute pointed nose. She had beautiful light brown eyes coupled with long eyelashes. Her pink lips were full and always smiling. She waved at her friend as she sat near the window side and they waved back at her with a smile on their faces. While the lesson was going on, Aria searched the class and found who she was looking for, Jason. She spotted Jason sitting two seats away from her, his eyes fixed intently on the teacher. When he caught her gaze, she smiled and waved, but he looked away, his expression unreadable and she pouted her lips sadly. Aria felt a pang of disappointment and confusion. Had she misread the connection they shared? She tried to focus on the lesson, but her eyes kept drifting back to Jason, wondering what had changed. Meanwhile, Jason's eyes were fixed on the teacher, but his mind wandered. He couldn't shake off the feeling of being trapped, of being under someone else's control. When Aria waved at him, he wanted to respond, but something held him back. He felt a surge of frustration and helplessness, knowing he couldn't be himself around her. "Miss Nightshade, are you paying attention?" Mr. Mike's voice cut through her thoughts. Aria's face warmed as she refocused on the lesson. "Yes, Mr. Mike." Mr. Mike raised an eyebrow. "Good. Then perhaps you can solve this equation on the board." Aria nodded, feeling a surge of confidence. She walked to the board and began solving the equation, her mind still wandering to Jason's strange behavior. She would ask him after class. But after the first three periods were over she didn't see any sign of him so she walked with her friends to the cafe.
