9 The Rescue BOB WAS LUCKY. There was a full moon at midnight. They would need it for it was his intention to sail from their house to Dominique’s beach. Arriving by sea, they would not have to make their way down to the beach, and so they would minimize the danger of discovery. They wouldn’t wake up Dominique and his wife or their dogs. Sailing there would mean a journey from just beyond Government House, leftwards along the coast where the island fronted the open sea. Then they would enter Tudor Creek which ran between the island and the northern mainland. He judged it would take about three hours to sail that far.
