As I went to the top room, I met with the head of the Council. "Hi, welcome," she greeted us warmly, making me feel really comfortable. She calmly explained how day-to-day activities were run by everyone in the society.
Just then, someone walked towards us, and a girl around my age smiled at us - or so I thought. The Council head introduced her, saying, "This is my niece." I walked up to her with a glint in my eyes, and she smiled towards me with equal enthusiasm.
The three of us quickly became inseparable, spending a lot of time together over the next few months. She showed us around, and we also showed her our abilities. We had a lot of fun and learned new things, making me feel extremely comfortable in this human society. I felt like I fitted in so much better here.
The Council head's niece, whose name I hadn't yet mentioned, seemed to have a great impact on my experience in this new world. With her guidance and friendship, I began to feel more at home among humans.
As Cinna and I lay together, she asked, "When do you go back?" I leaned back and replied sadly, "In a few days' time." I couldn't believe it had already been months, and I couldn't picture my life without her, but I had to leave.
She looked at me and said, "You know, there's a way I could stay in your world, and you in mine." I looked at her curiously. "That is, if you give me your location and I follow you back home. We could show your people a world that could exist. My people are always ready for a united people, but it takes two people who trust each other for that to happen."
I looked at her, really hoping. "Not, I don't trust you," I said. "But one secret we supernaturals have to protect is that we can never tell anyone our whereabouts. That's the number one rule." She looked at me, disappointed.
I looked at her and said, "To show how much I trust you, I'm going to tell you a secret. The royal blood unlocks everything in the supernatural society." "What do you mean?" she asked curiously. "I mean, the family governs the affairs of the supernatural, and they are different and more unique," I replied.
"Promise me you'll keep this secret," I said. She smiled and asked, "Is anyone in your family a royal?" I answered, "No." She just looked at me with a smile and fell asleep. In my mind, I said, "Sorry for lying, but it's for the best."
