VIII alphabet soup Rudolf Höss was my only company amidst the cardboard boxes that seemed to be everywhere. Despite the subject matter I actually enjoyed reading the book up until I got to the part where Rudolf gets transferred to Sachsenhausen. Intrusive memories hit me like the apocalypse was coming down when I read the part about some sexually deranged Rumanian dude who easily could’ve been Trevor Bradford in his past life. I did not believe in reincarnation or multiple lives but the parallels between the two of them were uncanny.
