III CORRUPTION The second week of school started without incident. Until Vera Petrov set foot in French class on Monday afternoon. Nobody liked the French teacher very much. Mrs. Black was this other tall diplomatic woman with a paunch like Mr. Pasquale and short light brown hair puffed up in the back. She was in her mid-forties if not even a little older. Unfortunately for her, she matched all the other people I didn’t like in school with her box-shaped head. Her face was always unusually red like she was constantly running out of air or something, her large glossy brown eyes looked like marbles from the dollar store and her clothes were probably just as old as she was. To say the least, her awful appearance matched her awful personality, or at the very least the awful first impression
