Rylee busied herself in the kitchen, plating the festive holiday cookies while the delicious smell of ham filled the house. She glanced at the clock hanging on the kitchen wall. Paige and Tyler should be here soon with Gram. Paige was bringing green bean casserole and Gram had made her famous bread pudding.
Rylee changed into a festive red blouse and black dress slacks. She went downstairs barefoot, but planned to slide on some impressive red heels before the festivities started. The beautiful new diamond necklace hung around her neck and she couldn’t resist touching it now and then.
