CHAPTER 6
Nick handed her the bottle of water and settled back into the armchair, “So, what are we watching?” he asked, as she turned on the television.
“Well, how about this one? It’s about a young woman who runs away from her wedding and ends up in the North Pole.” She picked up the DVD off the end table.
She let out a little giggle as she watched his unchanging expression. “Do you not watch a lot of television, Nick?” He looked like he was still waiting for the punch line of a joke. Wait, was she flirting again? This needed to stop before she embarrassed herself. She cleared her throat to mask the giggle that had escaped her lips.
