A Month Later “Ouch, Winston.” Dee sat in the chilly examination room with Winston digging his fingernails into her hand. “You’re drawing blood.” The sonographer grinned as she lifted Dee’s examination gown. “The fathers are always nervous to find out the baby’s sex.” The woman squeezed thick, warm gel on Dee’s stomach. “You’ll be nervous no matter how many you have. I have five kids.” She got the transducer. “My husband has fainted every time I gave birth.” Dee laughed. “You gonna faint in the delivery room, Winston?” “What...huh?” He did a double-take. “You mean I got to be in there with you?” The sonographer laughed. Dee poked his arm. “Don’t you want the experience?” “No.” He plopped down into the chair, sweating. “Is it hot in here or just me?” He grabbed a tissue off the table
