A stroll with friends must have been the best experiences, for most but not Skylar — not when the other two were clinging to one another.
Staring at their intertwined hands she pouted as her gaze fell on her own — empty hand.
“Hold my hand too.” Skylar spoke trying to intertwine her hand with Deni’s left free arm.
A failed attempt that was — slapping her hand away she glared at her friend.
“Why would I do that?” Deni questioned furrowing her eyebrows, while trying to cry enough distance from her pleading hand — coming closer and closer towards her.
Skylar stared at Loona then back to Deni with a pout. “Because you are doing it with your girlfriend, so can you with me!” the girl whined trying her best to join the two.
Chuckling for a bit, Loona grinned her gaze of her and Deni’s intertwined hands — she like the closeness, her being able to rest her head against Deni’s shoulder — the feeling of safety and being wanted.
Snapping herself out of her thoughts she stared at the pouting girl. “And why would we do that Skylar?” she questioned.
With a huff she folded her arms. “Because I’m as much as a girlfriend and invested in this relationship — I shipped it, matched it and let’s not forget sailed it.”
Shipped it she might have, matched wasn’t her doing — completely and the sailed — she might have, but her whining wasn’t winning her a thing.
“You are not my girlfriend.” Deni stated pulling Loona closer towards her, a tender peck on her cheek.
It had been a while since they first kissed — tremendous as the feeling was they didn’t quite just into a relationship the same day, maybe a day or two before someone asked out the other and the rest — history.
Out of frustration Skylar pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed, couldn’t someone just hold her hand without asking.
“Well I am Deni. I am a girl and your friend — girl friend.”
Deni shrugged, a wide smirk on her face. “Just a friend.” she stated again. Shoving her free arm into her pockets she wiggled her eyebrows at her — she just wasn’t going to do it.
Frowning Skylar groaned, her arms defeated as they fell to her sides not even bothering.
“But I—”
“Come here Skylar.” Loona chuckled, her right hand held out for Skylar to hold.
Without a moment to waste, she rushed over to her side — her hand held in hers, fingers intertwined. Grinning down to their hands she stared back up to Loona.
“Better?” the girl questioned holding back an amused laugh.
Vigorously nodding Skylar smiled. “Much better.” the girl breathed out in content.
Someone was definitely not pleased by the scene, pulling Loona’s hand she got her undivided attention.
“Why?” Deni asked glaring over at the smiling fool of a friend, Skylar.
“Because she is a lonely soul.” She answered taking a small glance at Skylar — she still held her big bright smile.
“I am!” Skylar agreed, nodding her head.
“It’s her bad taste in boys.” Deni snorted, fighting the urge to pout like a little child.
“No it’s not, shall I remind you always scare them.”
Her taste was phenomenally alright if it went skin deep, but deeper than that — was a remarkable bad taste. From mannerism, maybe not even going as far as that but the reasons why they wanted Skylar, were shallow — and most could not land a single punch on Deni, even if their live depended on it.
“Exactly my point — bad taste.”
Skylar huffed. The conversation was more involving the two then the girl in between, and to be frank — she enjoyed the bickering, she had grown accustomed to it.
“Well if you keep at it, we might just as well become a couple — the three of us.” she stated pulling Loona towards her a bit more.
With a glare she pulled Loona back into her arms. “No thank you. Plus you aren’t like old, you are just seventeen.”
“Running to my twenties and I haven’t gotten any—” stopping abruptly she stared at Deni the Loona. A foot closer to the girl in the middle she whispered into her ear. “Speaking of which have you two — you know, done it?” she questioned holding back a smirk as the girl blushed.
“I’m going to let go of your hand if you ask that!” Loona half panicked, her cheeks redder but each second the girl gave her a skeptical look. But still leaned to the other girls ear, and whispered. “And of course we haven’t, I would have told you if we had Sky.”
A bit confused Deni furrowed her eyebrows at the two giggling girls by her side. “What are you whispering about?”
“Nothing!” Loona immediately responded giving Deni an innocent toothy grin.
That was contrary to what her friend did, Skylar didn’t wait a minute to bluntly spill the truth.
“Just how shy you are to engage in s****l—” Air leaving her lungs she groaned in pain. Staring at her friend smirking she realised that Loona had nudged her in the side, very hard.
Slipping her hand out of Skylar’s hold she leaned into Deni. “Don’t mind her.” she mumbled placing a small peck on Deni’s lips.
And she didn’t bother ask any questions — just widely smiled before following her girlfriend’s lead down the hallway again.
“Hold my hand again!” Skylar whined catching up to them, her hand held out.
Giggling the couple picked up pace, running down the hall from the girl — wide grins and laughter, as the girl continuously complained.
