Chapter three

Raven ran after her. He had caught up with her the moment they arrived at the gate of the festival. Aria stopped and stared at the place. Something about it felt familiar, this was the time for her wolf to speak but for some odd reason her wolf stayed mute. "Aria what's wrong with you? I told you that they won't let us in, we're rogues" Raven screamed but Aria was too invested in getting into the festival. "I need to get it" Aria spoke as if Raven's remarks fell on deaf ears because they did. "I need to get in" She repeatedly then ran into the festival luckily there wasn't anyone by the gate. Raven. Followed her in chasing after her but something had seen to had drawn her in and whatever it was, it had a higher calling than anything Aria had ever felt Finally she stopped. "Aria are you alright. If we're caught here we're as going as dead, do you understand that. Let's get out of you here" He grabs her hand and tries to run out but Aria refuses; she seems enchanted by the place she is in. "It looks too familiar, like I've been here before" Raven feels frustrated because Aria does not seem to understand how serious the situation is. "I can't go, I can't explain it but I know that my destiny is here?" He looked confused and couldn't believe what Aria was saying. "Your destiny is to die or be humiliated?" Aria stayed mute "Why are you so stubborn? I've never met a Rogue like you before." "Maybe because I'm not a rogue." "Then what are you?" Aria starts quiet because she didn't know the answer to the question. Who was she? "Let's go" Raven tried to drag Aria but she doesn't budge "What is wrong with you?" He yelled, just then the gates were closed with a magical shield, this made Raven panic because there was no way out "Look what you've done?" Raven spewed with frustration but that was the moment that the celebration paused and the Alpha King of the pack had come forward to give a speech, that was the moment it started recalling back to Aria "Elias" She called his name dragging Ravens attention to her "You know him?" He questioned but it didn't make a difference Aria was lost in a trance her memory came back with help of her wolf she was able to recall the night that he killed her. "With me is my other half, the one that compliments me in the way no one can ever do" That was when Ethera joined him. She had taken Lyra's position after her death. Tears gathered on the eyelids of Aria's eyes when she saw Elias's beta standing behind him. "Look at them all three of them, looking and being happy after killing me" She thought to herself. The worst part was that she still had a connection to Elias, after all he was her fated mate. That would explain the pull that had brought her to this place. Everything felt too much and overwhelmed for her despite her memory coming back. She remembers everything and that was when she fainted. Raven grasped her before she was able to hit the floor causing a little attention for themselves. Everyone turned to look at them but Raven tried to make it look like she was excited about the festival. "Long live the moon goddess" He said with jubilation. ***** "Oh baby you looked remarkable during the festival, everyone was in awe of how great and massive your presence was" Ethera said as she hung her hand on his shoulder. To Elias he didn't care about the speech or his presence he had bigger pending issues that would ruin him if the truth ever got out. "I'm glad you liked it" He said passively without an effort. "You're the great Alpha King and I am your one only Luna" That was when Elias's beta laughed. "What's funny?" Ethera questioned him "Your delusion" Ethera's mood changed instantly and just when she was about to speak Elias caught her off "Not tonight, I can't entertain your petty utterances tonight. They are more pending issues" Ethera looked at Elias knowing fully well what was at stake, she maintained her silence. ****** Raven had managed to get out of the festival before anyone noticed but Aria had still not woken up. Aria was stuck in a dream. The power of Elias's presence has struck her into a time trance. Where she stood as Aria watched Ethera kill Lyra. Then a voice called out to her. "Are you confused, child?" The voice was slow and sharp. She turned and saw that it was an old woman in a cloak. "Who are you?" The old woman laughed. "I am the moon and the stars. The one who watches the wolves as they hunt. I give and I take life" Aria looked confused but she bowed her head and asked "Ar-ar-are you the spirit of the forest?" The woman laughed and then spoke "I guide the light of the forest and I have seen that your soul is pure so therefore I have given you another chance" At that moment Aria feels herself being drawn into a powerful surge and she starts screaming, instantly she wakes up to Raven looking at her with fear in his eyes. ****** As the two travel. There is silence. Raven looks at Aria with suspicion he is curious on what had led her to have fainted and what exactly had driven her to the festival. "You're very stubborn and... Strange" "Tell me about it" Aria's wolf echoes. "I'm really sorry about yesterday. The stress and the hiccups I caused you" "It's not about me. I could defend myself but you're not strong enough" Raven says as he walks. This statement makes Aria angry. "I'm too weak, you have to defend, you have to protect me. Why can't you teach me instead of dropping me off. Train me Raven" He stops and turns to look at her. She had the courage and she was right. Getting Aria off his back wasn't going to help her. If he really wanted to help her. He'd do it the best way possible. Teaching her how to fight and defend herself. "Okay, I'll teach you"
