The full moon shone brightly over the forest as Cassy ran through the trees. She was a half breed, but tonight, she felt more alive than ever.
It was the second week after the moonlight rite. She loved the feeling of the wind rushing through her hair and the thrill of watching others hunt.
As she ran, she caught the scent of a werewolf nearby. Curious, she followed the scent until she came upon a clearing.
Ryan was a ruthless leader who didn't take kindly to his pack members fraternizing with other werewolves
Although she really loved to socialize with other werewolves, some of them avoided her because she was not a full werewolf. She was still following the scent when she stumbled upon a beautiful moonstone.
The stone glowed with a soft blue light, and she felt drawn to it. She picked it up and held it in her hands, feeling its power coursing through her.
She knew that the moonstone was special and there, she resolved to keep it as a companion.
She was quick to realize that there were lots of moonstones lying around. Probably, that's where the pack got its name from, moonstone pack.
Cassy had been born into a pack of werewolves, and she knew the rules. As a female werewolf, she was expected to find a mate and start a family to continue the bloodline.
however, she wasn't sure that she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her packmates. She had always felt a sense of restlessness, a desire to explore and see what lay beyond the boundaries of the pack. But she knew that to do so would mean leaving behind everything she had ever known.
And then, there she was stuck with Ryan who had never let her go on explorations.
Cassy had always been drawn to the mysterious and brooding figure of Ryan. From the moment she laid eyes on him, she felt an intense attraction to him that she couldn't explain. But as their relationship developed, Lily began to see a side of Ryan that frightened her.
One moment he would show her love and affection, showering her with attention and affection. But the next moment, he would be cold and treating her heartlessly as if she meant nothing to him.
At first, Cassy tried to fight back, to stand up for herself and demand that he treat her with the respect she deserved. But no matter what she did, Ryan always seemed to have the upper hand.
As time went on, she remembered when he mentioned 'revenge' at the werewolf midnight rite and wondered what that got to do with her. She could only imagine terrible things in her head.
But even as she realized this, Cassy couldn't bring herself to walk away. She saw the pain and the darkness in Ryan's eyes, and she knew that he needed her.So she stayed, determined to heal the wounds that had been inflicted on him.
As they spent more time together, Cassy began to discover the truth about Ryan's past. He was a werewolf, cursed to live a life of darkness and isolation. And he had been hurt so deeply by those who had once been closest to him that he had sworn revenge against them all.
But despite his anger and his thirst for revenge, could see the goodness in Ryan's heart. No matter how he tried to hide it, she knew that he was capable of great love and kindness, and she was determined to help him find his way back to the light.

Ryan sat down one evening before the full moon, watching Cassy as she rearranged her corsets into a little black box, the only box she moved into his park with when she became his mate. He couldn't help but realize how neatly she folded the corset making sure they had an almost perfect, rectangular shape and still fit into the little box.
He couldn't help but admire her personality, starting from her long black hair, probably the darkest he had seen which she loved to pack in a pony tail which happened to rest upon her not too broad shoulders and then to her sparkling and clear skin.
She just finished loading the box with her clothes and tried closing it with its lead but the box wasn't gonna give way.
He got her new corsets the previous day; one of his little actions that always keeps her wondering why, how and what were the reasons for his chameleon behavior.
Ryan stared while she struggled with the box, he stared when she gave up from struggling and resorted to removing the excess clothes from the box and keeping them on it instead.
Just then, as she turned to position the box at it's normal position, she raised her head and locked eyes with him. He didn't take his eyes off, he never does. He just sat there looking at her and contemplating how high his success chances were if she were to be used as bait.
Cassy wasn't one to give up easily on the eye contest either. 'Probably this was the best time to ask him' she thought.
"Mmm..mm" Cassy cleared her throat.
"Ryan" she called out in her tiny but soft voice, breaking the eye contact this time.
"That's my name" he answered almost immediately as if expecting to hear his name.
"I have been meaning to ask you" she paused as if reconsidering her question, "you got me new corsets the previous day" she added.
'Yes, and you almost gave me headache with your a million 'thank you" Ryan retorted.
Cassy let out a little giggle. She did remember thanking him every now and then just to feel confident that the appreciation was equivalent to the gift.
"I didn't expect that" she said in defense "they are really nice tho" she added.
"Here we go again" he cried, this time slapping his right palm on his forehead.
Cassy let out a short laughter.
"Sometimes, you are so loving and treat me with so much love and respect, other times you treat me like I am a plague" Cassy stopped as if unsure of what to say.
Ryan stared at her still, he stared into those grey eyes of hers, they looked almost wet, pleading for answers, searching his for the littlest clue to her question.
"Maybe it's high time you realize I didn't pick you as a mate to shower you with love and attention as you called it" he replied, sounding hoarsely.
"I treat you the way I like and when I like. Unfortunately the way I like has nothing to do with love." He concluded and made to stand.
"Women.."Ryan lamented and turned to leave but Cassy wasn't satisfied yet,
"You had a rough past didn't you?" She asked, this time confident the question came out well. Ryan turned to look at her.
Cassy always had a way of making him rethink his plans. He just realized how much he had come to love this part of her. No matter how he treated her, she always tried to create this soft spot in him probably create a heart in him since he seemed to lack one.
He was getting to really like her but then he wasn't going to abandon his plans for some rubbish called love, not now, not ever.
He is the alpha, and he must have his revenge!.
