Running into danger

I first saw her in a grocery store three weeks ago. I have seen her a couple of times at the grocery store. She looks like an angel with her platinum blonde hair, Hazel eyes and a body to kill for. And I would literally kill for it.

Saturday this week she came in talking on the phone, to either a friend or her mom, about how she needed a job badly. I wonder why she needs a job so bad she looks young.

I heard her say she had an interview for a part time spot at the local bakery but that wasn't going to pay all her bills. Warning sign dude she's young and has tons of bills. I try to tune out my brain as I'm cautiously "shopping" around my angel.

I hurried to check out to make sure I was right in front of her and called Edgar, my number 2. "Hey, Edgar man, didn't you say that grill on Fourth and La Jolla ave had a now hiring sign."

Edgar who knew I had to be near the girl I have been chasing, More like stalking, replied "yeah man I saw the sign yesterday."

Hoping she heard end the call with "Cool man I'll catch you late." Then walked out to my shiny Kia cadenza, and drove to my grill on the corner of Fourth and La Jolla ave.

An hour later my angel came in asking for an application. Edgar handed her one and told her the interview would be on Monday. She asked for a 3 pm interview cause she had school in the morning and another engagement at 2. Of course I had Edgar agree, I want no need her here.

Sunday went as usual. Got up, went to Mass, confessed to Father for all my sins in the last week, then went to the gym.

Monday I was antsy. I wanted to hire her and start to know her. This angel whose name I now know is Leaanna, will become my prized possession.

She walked in and Edgar walked her back. I told her right away she was hired but she questioned why. I obviously can't tell her its cause I want to make her the princess of my world. That would scare her, so I asked her if she has any experience but after I looked at her application I knew the answer was no. After all a high school senior usual get to enjoy there final year of school not work.

I wonder why she has to work.

I threw the uniform to her and told her she would start at 5 the next evening. I forgot to tell her pay days are on Fridays and she gets to keep her tips but I'm sure Edgar will inform her. After all Edgar know this is the one for me.

Tuesday came and 5 pm hit and she's standing before me. I gave her a tour and introduced her to the staff, and sent her away with Edgar. All evening I stayed in my office to keep myself from staring at her. At 10 pm, when her shift was over, I walked out and asked her how her day went. She said it was good and couldn't wait for what Edgar has in store for her, or some bull like that. Definitely going to have to talk to Edgar, This is not ok.

Once Leanna got into her car and drove away, I walked back into the Grill.I looked around to find my best friend. Once I saw him I made a point of getting his attention. "Edgar, Come in here!" I said as I passed him.

He knew I was mad about something. After all, he didn't become my secondhand man by just going with the flow and not being able to read me.

"Yes Boss"

"You are not allowed to lay hands on Leaanna"

"Duh, Man, why would I even think that?"

"It was something she said that has me rallied up. She said she cant wait till she masters what Edgar has for her. "

"HaHAHA. Dude wont touch her I promise. I'll treat her like my own flesh and blood. IS she the one, sir?"

"Yes, she is the one. She will run our world, I just know it."

"When are you going to let her know?"

"When the time is right."

"So, in the meantime, you want me to keep her behind the bar?"

"Yes, that is the best place for her. I don't want anyone looking at what is mine and the bar will keep her in you view."

"Okay, Man I'm heading out."

Edgar headed out of the grill for the night. Once it hit midnight, I closed down the grill and headed to the beach. The one place I feel at ease, and not in constant turmoil, is the pier at the beach. As the youngest leader of the Unseen, at the age of 25, I need some ease.

Lord knows I haven't had ease in my life since I joined at 14. Life has been crazy for me but that doesn't matter anymore. I have this sense that my angel is going to bring ease to me even when I am not here at the beach.

Watching the waves crash on the legs of the pier, I have a few things that I need to figure out going through my head.

1. Why does Leaanna have to have a Job at the age of 18?

2. Does she have a boyfriend I have to worry about?

3. How am I going to get her to see me more then a boss?

I will be figuring these things out as soon as possible. Maybe I should call my guy to do a little digging into her...
