The first real blanket of winter snow had already touched the west. Winter had laid her claim on the country, and soon all would be hers. Charlie"s breath frosted in the open air. He watched the sunrise over the farm, twisting shadows across the turbines. Somewhere inside the cottage an argument was brewing, shattering the otherwise still Welsh countryside.
