–Sara, I know ok? I'll be there as fast as I can.
–You better, Hana! This is very important for the company!
Hana couldn't help but roll her eyes at her supervisor's words. After hanging up the phone, Hana put on her coat and left the apartment, her key breaking while she was trying to lock up the door.
–Stupid crappy apartment!
Going for the elevator the girl couldn't help but notice the "Out of order" sign taped to the elevator doors. Telling herself that everything's fine Hana went on to go down the stairs, knowing well that she was gonna have to see the building owner, a person whom she hated from the bottom of her heart. Hana was praying she was out to get cigarettes or something.
–Oh, miss Park! Pleasure to see you.
That was it, the voice she dreaded. Seems like once again her prayers weren't answered, such a shame.
–I had a problem with my door this morning. I'll call a locksmith, make sure to let him in.
–No problem Princess Hana!
–Well f**k you too, Jen!
Hana had no time to stay and bicker with the old lady, so she never waited for her angry response like she always does when she sees her, instead she ran, yes ran, out the doors of the building and into the bussy streets of New York. Making her way to the bus stop, Hana's phone started ringing.
–What now?
Looking at the caller ID, Hana smiled. It was her boyfriend Harry.
–Yes, babe?
–Hi b***h! Are you still coming over tonight?
Hana's and Harry's relationship was... peculiar, something you would usually not see when looking at a couple. Ever since they started dating two years ago everyone told Hana she should leave him. While Hana worked for a prestigious company six days a week, 8 hours a day trying to put every little dime aside for a better life, Harry chose to stay at home, have mommy and daddy pay for everything and get high at any moment. And on top of that he couldn't keep it in his pants. But Hana loved him.
–I don't know Harry. Look, I'm running late to work, I'll call you back, ok?
–Wait, wait, wait! I'm in your part of town, I'll pick you up and drop you to work.
–Really?
Something was fishy and Hana knew it, but Harry wasn't a kind person, so every act of kindness from him was welcomed by Hana.
–Yeah just send me the location.
–Will do! Thank's babe!
After hanging up, Hana tried to send Harry her location. Why tried? Because Hana couldn't see the car that was comming towards her at full speed. One more thing Hana couldn't see was the person behind he wheel, who was eagerly waiting for a text from his girlfriend. He finally got a job and he couldn't wait to tell her. Hana went flying over the car, the impact with the cold concrete giving her only a few more seconds to live. And the driver? The driver was no one other than Harry, and all he could do was watch as life drained out of his girlfriend. With the last breath of air, Hana managed to get out a few words before leaving the earth.
–Son of a b***h.
