Serena arrived at her usual time at Bearly Breakfast Time and could instantly tell that things were quieting down. Gone were the rowdy students loitering at the entrance or people standing on their chairs to snap pictures of their breakfasts. More tables were free than had been in the past few weeks, including hers and Maize"s.
Even if it was still busier overall, the normal atmosphere that she loved had returned. The café was calm, cosy, and quiet again.
She smiled at Larissa behind the counter. "It"s calm again."
"Yes, the blog published a new list of places to try so I"m guessing that"s where the horde is now." The owner didn"t seem too bothered. "What can I get for you today?"
"My usual, please."
"Coming right up or would you like to wait until Maize is here?" Larissa aske
