Maize breathed a cloud into the dusk as she waited for the bus to arrive. It was a little inconvenient to have to rely on the bus times to get into the city for her date but it came with the added advantage that she could have a drink on her date to still her nerves.
The idea of seeing Serena outside of Bearly Breakfast Time and their morning routine was both exciting and terrifying at the same time. She was eager to find out more about Serena but she also feared that if they spent more time together, it would ruin this perfectly lovely thing that had been brightening up her weeks.
Still, it was better to discover if there was potential now before it turned into a full-blown crush that would shatter her heart much more if it ended poorly.
