BEAUTIFUL AND BROKEN

David's POV

Red lower lip, dark upper lip,big cute eyes,a greenish scar round the left eye, or was it a birthmark, slim but a little curvy, just the correct figure, Short,dark melanin,braids tied up in a bun.Tight jeans, flat shoes, white blouse, black jacket on one hand and a hand bag in the other.She stared and I stared back,one minute,two,three,five...I decided to smile and at her, but she just stared,I started wondering if there was something wrong with my face,or was my hair cut done wrongly.Then she said something about greek gods that I didn't quite hear well, because my eyes were concentrated on the movement of her lips, and the way her eyes ware moving form me to Jake.Then she stopped talking and I was just staring at those lips, and just when I was about to move my eyes from there,she did something that seemed so involuntary,she licked and sucked on her lower lip,and that stole the cake.My heart started racing,I started having a funny feeling in my lower belly,my little guy down there,was getting excited,I could feel it.Wait...wait a damn minute, what is happening to me, I haven't felt like this since Ellen, and it took me time to fall for Ellen, but what was happening to me now,no crush no liking, just love..yes..love..I don't know how it happened but I think now I believe in love at first sight, I like ..no..I love this woman.I don't even know her name yet.Yes I know there names are Regina and Moira, but I don't know who is who,but, one thing is clear to me, I want this woman, for life, and I'll do everything to make her fall in love and make her mine.

I didn't notice that everyone else was looking at me, till Jake brought me back from my own thoughts and accused me of mind undressing the girl.I ignored him and went ahead to introduce myself.And then I did the dumbest thing, I told her talk me brother David.And to my surprise she went ahead to call me that, it sounded so ugly coming from her lips.I gave myself a mind slap.Jake on the other side, said he wasn't their brother and so they should not worry if he hit on them.I like your balls baby brother.

For three straight months I wasn't able to do anything I would do on a daily routine, why, because my girl had left me.But, the moment I saw her,all the memories of Ellen just faded.I felt like if someone vacuum cleaned my heart, evacuated every memory of Ellen and every other woman I have ever screwed, and filled Moira in.

Moira, her beautiful angel, innocence radiated from her face, but if you looked in her eyes keenly, there was sadness,fear and pain hidden,but she was doing a very good job to hide everything.

Who hurt you pretty angel, suddenly the protective me kicked in and I was ready to protect her with every thing in me.She looked beautiful but broken or better still,a broken angel. It will take time for her to open up to me, but I was ready to wait for her and take all the pain I was seeing in her eyes.

Finally, it was time for their little party that Jake and I had prepared.At first I thought the back and white icing was going to freak them out, but they actually liked and enjoyed it.She said thank you but added brother to my name, I know, it's all my fault, but I still felt bad about it.

Finally, they went to their rooms to freshen up, and I went to the kitchen to start on dinner. I decided to keep it simple today,I made Kenya's favorite, Ugali and kales with fried beef.It took me roughly forty minutes to cook.Me being a chef means that am always in the kitchen both at home and at work, I don't mind really, because I love cooking,but I would have appreciated if someone made me something one of this days.After, I decided to head to my room like everyone is and freshen up before dinner.Staying under the shower for hours is my favorite thing,and so I was there till five minutes before dinner.And then I decided to go announce to my house mates that it was dinner time.

I saved Moira's door to knock at last, but just has I was about to knock, I heard sobbing from inside I was room, I stood and placed my ear on the door to listen some more... just then I heard Jake's voice behind me.

"What are you up to now big brother Davi?"

"Shhhhhh... quite Jake,am trying to listen..I think she is crying or something ".

Just then dad and Gina came towards m with a "what are you doing"look on their faces.

"Guys don't look at me like that, I think something is wrong with Moira, she is crying".

"What do you mean by she is crying?"'dad asked but before I could answer Gina opened the door and walked inside and we all followed.Gina jumped on her bed and felt her forehead which was sweaty.I don't know why but I also ran to her side and held her hand and started calling her.She was asking someone to stop, and not do anything to her.Then Gina too started crying and my dad asked why.

"We have to wake her up, please help me,it is happening again,we have to wake her up".

What is she talking about, what was happening again, and why was she crying.

"Gina, calm down, what is happening again?".

"Her nightmares Davi, we have to wake her up".

"Which nightmares?".

"A nightmare about when...."

She screamed and woke up cutting Gina's sentence.She scanned the face of everyone and then went back to sobbing again.I pulled her into a hug, which

surprised me too. I kissed her hair over and over had I asked to calm down and assured her that everything is okay. After ten minutes or so she stopped crying and realized how tight she was holding me,she let go quickly like if I was gonna bite,like if she was scared of me.I didn't want her to be scared of me,not now not ever.She took the hem of her camisole and wiped her nose and then hid her face between her knees and hugged them.And we were all quite, just looking at her, until dad spoke.

"Boys, could you give us a minute, please?"

I didn't want to leave her, not in this state, but since dad was glaring at me, I followed behind Jake and closed the door behind me.

Moira's POV

"What did he do to you Ira".

"What...who.. what are you talking about?".

"Don't play smart with me young lady..what the f**k did Michael do to you".

That was the first time I ever heard Professor Jeff curse,how did he know that it was him.

"Haa..how did you know it was him?".

"I heard you say "please don't do this to me I am your daughter dad" has we walked in to the room, maybe the others didn't, but I did, so tell me, did he hurt you , did he touch you inappropriately, what did he do Ira please tell me, and if you know me well, you know I won't leave this room without an answer to my questions, so start talking girls".

And the tear gates opened again, how I wished that this guy standing Infront of my bed with so much care in his eyes was my dad,but no, it was that disgusting bastard, that inhumane wastage of creation was my dad, and I could do nothing about it.He walked on my side held my hand which was shaking while Gina held the other.

"Ira, I have known you two since when you were sixteen, and to me, you girls are like my children, my daughters, and since on your graduation day,I noticed something was off with you too, especially you Moira, from the heavy eye makeup, which you hardly put on, to being absent minded all the time.I know something happened,and your nightmare just now confirmed that it was really your dad who is the cause of the pain I see in your eyes.I noticed the way he looked at you the party, like if he was scared he would say something that he didn't want you to say,so answer this question, it's just a guess of what is happening to you, only because I have noticed your walk has changed,so, Moira, did Michael r**e you, it's a yes or no answer".

How could I think we could hide this from him, he is a doctor, and observant had hell.And I was giving him all the reasons to suspect.I didn't even notice to that my walking had changed,it had to, I was in so much pain, both on the inside and outside.He didn't even bit around the bush, he hit the nail head on.I couldn't hide it so I just answered, honestly.

"Yes"

"When?".

"On the morning of our graduation".

"Who else knows about it?".

"Gina, she walked in on us,and stopped him from doing anything else but he threatened to hurt us if we said a thing to soul".

"Why didn't you call for help?".

"I did, I called Gina on my phone

When he walked into my room I felt, scared,like if something bad was about to happen,so I just dialed Gina's number so that she could listen, nani Sara was off work that day, mom had gone out to buy flowers,and Babu was at the gate,so they couldn't hear me scream,and he had tied me to the bed and covered my mouth".

"Did you tell Sabina about it".

"No, and please don't tell her, please,I beg you Sir, please,my mom should never know about what happened to me, let it be just between us and him, please".

"You have my word,am sorry princess this happened to you, I promise you, he will pay, I don't know how yet, but he will,trust me, Pretty girl, help her wash her face and come down for dinner okay, I love you two,and I will protect you with everything I have okay."

"Yes Sir, we love you too, come on chumchum".

Five minutes later, Gina and I were walking down the stairs when I remembered something.

"Gina, on that morning, when I was begging him to stop because he was my dad,he said that's where I was wrong"

"You mean you calling him dad or?

"Yeah, I think".

"Or maybe he just wanted you to call him daddy..you know what am talking about".

"Yeah, maybe am just overthinking,my mom would tell me if I was adopted right".

"Jesus Moira, why would you say you are adopted, you are literally a copy and paste of auntie Sabina, though I still I think you have professor Jeff's eyes?, anyway, please,shake it off,I don't want you to have nightmares again, let's go, and fill your stomach, come on".

"okay let's go".
