YOU ARE NO FATHER

Third person's POV

In the farthest corner in a restaurant,one that people in the area tend to call,the restaurant for the old.Because, here,only the elderly visited, drinking tea till the sun goes down.Most of them were retired army men, teachers, doctors,or just people who were old and wanted somewhere to sit,read newspapers word by word,page to page without disturbance from their grandchildren.

He sat there, a newspaper covered his face, a hot cup of tea Infront of him.He checked his wrist watch,sipped on his tea, looked at the door, and there stood the man he had been waiting for, he waved at him and he walked towards him, pulled a chair and sat across him.

"I thought you will never show up".

"Am a busy man doctor or should I call you professor, but, I can make time for an old friend".

"My bad, I thought I was still your friend, back then, we use to be the best of friends, what happened Michael?".

"We fell in love with the same woman,she loved you, but her dad approved of me.I won Jeff,and you lost".

"You think so, you won, and why are you still fighting if you won my dearest friend?".

"It's because even if I own her now, she doesn't belong to me, she has never been mine, never".

"Is that why you took your eyes off her and planted them on her daughter?".

"She told you hah?".

"She didn't have to tell me a thing Michi,the pain written allover her was enough for me to figure out things,am a doctor remember,so tell this old friend of yours, what exactly did you do to that sweet little angel for her to be that broken?".

"Well,my old friend,am just a man with needs, needs that have to be satisfied, she couldn't,so her daughter came in to the picture".

"Your daughter too mister, you are her father,no you are no father, because no father will ever do such a thing to his only child".

"Yes she is my only child,but she has your eyes, your guts and balls, your personality, everything about her is a replica of you Jeff.I mean she is my daughter right, then why did she have to look exactly like you?".

"Don't you think you are imagining all of this, that sweet little girl looks exactly like her mother, and she was born in your marriage Michael, she got pregnant with you".

"Tell you what, you are a doctor right, prove it to me that she is my daughter, because I know for a fact she ain't, and if she isn't my daughter, it can only mean she is yours".

"Sabina would have told me if she was mine".

"Why would she,she didn't want to ruin your marriage remember, and I have recently found out that, you two were still seeing each other even two years after we got married, she was cheating on me with you".

"Michael, you married her when her heart was still bitting for me.Yes, we were still a thing four years into your marriage, but I realized it was not fare for my wife and you, and she was born a year after we ended things, meaning she is your daughter".

"Four years, your affair went on for four years,and here I thought it was only for two, but it's fine, because she paid for those other two, it was your mistake, but that sweet angel is paying and will pay for it, I promise you that, and for the last time, Moira ain't my daughter,am out of here, you can go ahead and prove me wrong doctor".

He walked out, and he was left staring at the door,he gulped his tea and also walked out of the restaurant to his car and drove off.

Moira's POV

First day at medical school, I remember being told that I will have many cars but they will always be packed in the hospital's packing area, fancy dresses but will always be in medical scrubs,a family that will hardly see me and worse of all patients that will try your patience to the limit.And I guess they were all right.

My first client for the day was a sweet six year old girl,who had a bump on her back, which after investigation I realized it was a lipoma.

"Hay little cute you,am Doctor Moira, what is your sweet name little one?".

"My name is Samantha,am six years old, mom brought me here today but I left her outside, because I am a big girl now, I can see the doctor by myself".

"Really now Sam, okay, now tell me, what brings this big girl to the hospital today?".

"Well I have a bump on my back, my brother told me I was bad all year,so Santa put me in the naughty list and that's why I got the bump, I want you to remove it, because I am a very good girl, I promise".

"Yes baby you are a good girl am going to remove it, throw it away, and even Santa will take you out of the naughty list too,mhh".

"Promise".

'"pinky promise, but first, I want you to get out of this clothes, and then you are going to lie down here and I will take the bump away okay".

"Okay".

The surgery only took about thirty minutes and little Samantha was good to go, but when I checked the time,it was already lunch time.But then I remembered I had spent sometime in the ER,there had been an accident this morning, and a family of three had been brought in,the father had a broken leg that was facing the opposite direction,the mom had a broken glass go right through her left eye and their baby baby was unresponsive has they arrived but still alive.And that's how my morning went down.

Walking down the stair case to Gina's office I bumped into someone, that looked familiar but I couldn't remember where I saw him.

"Hello doctor beautiful, remember me?".

"hello doctor you,nop".

"Auch, you just broke my heart".

"Well Mr sir, a visit to the medical engineer will fix that".

"Do you know you are the first doctor that I think looks good in scrubs" .

"Okay".

"Okay?, you are supposed to say thank you".

"For what exactly ?".

"I have just complimented you".

"No, you've just stated the obvious, and besides I have a mirror at home, now if you will excuse me, am starving I need something to eat".

"I can buy you lunch if you let me".

"Thank you, but no thank you,I can afford my own bills".

"I insist"

"Still no".

"But you...".

"Kai leave my sister alone will you, she has said no, so it's a no".

"Since when do you have a sister Jake?".

"Since one week ago, and if you excuse us, we are going out to eat, you can join us if you wish,we are going to Davi's"

"So, she is one of the girls Davi was talking about,am sorry ma'am, I actually thought you are a nurse,am Kai, Davi and Jake's buddy,and you are?"

"Moira,so Mr Kai, tell me, do you buy lunch to all the nurses?".

"No only the beautiful ones".

"Only the beautiful ones hah,have you looked in the mirror lately".

"No,why?".

"Because I don't think you have the looks that should be distinguishing between who is beautiful and who is not".

"Auch, Moira ma'am, that was too blunt".

"Okay you two, let's go already,Gina is waiting since long, come on Ira, this guy is jerk and will always be one so your words won't change a thing, let's go it's lunch time, Kai coming or not?".

"Yes, I am, but Jake, that was too much roasting".

"Am not sorry Kai".

"You are never sorry Jakey anyway am used to it by now, let's go".

"Good for you".
