It was the night before Alexander’s birthday, everything had been planned for his party, and I had wrapped up his presents. We had put the kids to bed, and were sitting down in the common room with everyone. The dark witches had been exceptionally quiet the past few days. That does not mean we have grown complacent, because we hadn’t, but it was nice to start spending more time with the kids again.
