Noah stood with eyes glazed over. James lay Kirra down on his bed and kissed her.
His kiss slowly cleared her mind and the darkness of sleep started to subside. She gently opened her eyes and looked at her love. His green eyes were peering at her. They had a disturbed look in them. What had happened? Why was his handsome face distorted with worry?
She got up. It took her a while to bring things back in focus. She could slowly remember that she had felt exceptionally tired and dozed off. She hadn't had the strength to change into anything more comfortable. She looked around trying to find out where the files went. She had meant to read, understand and make notes, so that the next day she would be in total control when the Alphas and Betas from the different clans gathered.
