While Kirra freshened up, he changed into his work clothes for the day and waited for her in the awning. There was no point loitering around in the van. He would only end up torturing himself as he would want to be close to her.
He checked the last few hours of updates from his video feed and decided to leave two cameras capturing movement in the clearing where he found Kirra. He told himself that it was for his work with the university.
He turned his ring and got ready to use magic. His protection was still in place and there wasn’t any point in getting into manual labour.
Using spells to control inanimate objects, he disconnected the 4 monitors and put them in the cartons that he had previously carried them in. All other equipment went into their respective cartons. No fuss!
